  1. Hey lads, I'm looking into buying a 1080 Ti but u can't figure out what the difference between all the versions are. Some cards are cheaper than others, is there anything specific I should look into?
  2. Great suggestions guys, I went with a EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3 EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3 EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3. I really appreciate the feedback I got, y'all deserve a high-five!
  3. There's a Danish forum talking about it in 2010 where they say it's bad. It even has 1 star on another danish site for pc equipment. But the budget doesn't really matter. I just wan't something that lasts and works. I've been looking at a Corsair VS650 650W but I don't think it has the Pins required for either GTX 970 or 1080?
  4. Hey stoner, Thanks for pointing out the title, I seem to have a fart stuck in brain. It could very well be the fan. After about 10 minutes the weird noises stops. But the PSU is very old and honestly, I don't trust it anymore.
  5. Hey guys, My Energon EPS-1000W PSU has started making these weird buzzing/vibrating noises when I turn on my PC and it freaks me out! I don't even know how many years I've had it, probably 4-5. So, it's time to upgrade and I can't really decide on what to choose. My current rig is: i7 4790 20GB ram GTX 970 2x BenQ HD monitors 1x Samsung 4k monitor My goal is to upgrade to a 1080 card in 2017 but until then, I'm stuck with my 970. What PSU would you guy's recommend? I can't seem to find anything with the pins I need
  6. Cheers TriFlix! Thanks for putting a build together, it looks really really nice but when you say only a few programs benefits from SLI I wonder... Those programs which does not work well with SLI, will they suddenly become unreliable? If so, is it possible to "turn off" a card while playing or using a program that doesn't like SLI?
  7. Yeah I'll give it to my dad who also games but, his pc could really use an upgrade. Seeing him play Fallout 4 with that FPS really bugs me. Anyways. I really appreciate that fact you guys advice me to reuse some of the components. But I'm really just looking for a complete new setup from scratch I just read a lot of things online but, it's difficult to put all the pieces together and say "Alright, I found the perfect gaming/rendering machine"
  8. Thanks for your replies guys! But I'm basically looking to buy an entire, new PC as this current build will be given away to a family member. I have done some research and a lot of places speaks well about Xeon for rendering purposes but I'm not sure how that goes along with gaming?
  9. Hallo everyone, So, I'm in a difficult situation. I just sold my two bikes and now I have $5000 for a new bike BUT... I also realize that now, I can fulfill my dream of having a crazy PC And that's why I'm here to ask you guys what you would recommend me buying. My main PC is a an average build I guess: Intel i7 4790 20gb ram Nvidia 970 Win 10 2x benq full HD monitors 1x Samsung U28D590D 4K Which is all fine and dandy but my build can't really play games like GTA, Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 in 4K, and when I'm rendering an image I really could use a stronger CPU. My primary use of my PC is Microsoft offic... Just kidding, it's gaming at 4K and image rendering in Vue. What thoughts do you guys have? It doesn't necessary have to cost $5000 exactly, but let me hear your thoughts.
  10. Hallo everyone, I currently have 1 gtx 970 but it's struggling with gaming at 4k so I though of buying another one. Would you guys recommend 2x 970 or maybe a new card? What ultimately pushes me towards a 970 is the price
