    Wonderful Post . I faced some issue with my Old PSU recently and when I plugged it directly into wall point 90% issue resolved and PC worked great . 
    So before taking everything apart first step should be to by pass all UPS/powerstrips and connect PSU to wall directly just for testing

    I do landscape photography on my 5 year old Canon 1100D with 18-55 kit lens , No need to go for an expensive Full Frame camera . First get your basics right and then buy and expensive full Frame camera .   
     
    See if canon 700D fits into your budget , its the best camera with tons of features like HDR an all .

    Should be, probably best to stay away from those power-intensive games though.

    Could be PSU. If it's giving wonky power under serious load, the motherboard won't like it. That GPU will draw a solid 200W under load. Do you hear chirping noises coming from the PSU when it's under heavy load?
