  1. *UPDATE* I sent the build to a technician and the first thing he did was check with another psu to see if that was the peoblem. It wasnt, with neither psu did the pc boor neither post. He will diagnose further and get the results on friday (he currently has no ddr4 rams nor ddr4 mobo's but hes getting them on wednesday, so thats the delay)
  2. It´s not that it existed in a pc of mine, it is currently on it and im using it, and it never failed me, so i dont know if it really is the problem. Either way i acknowledge its a piece of shit... a currently working one, but a piece of shit nonetheless.
  3. It has worked great for me so far, in my previus rig i had gtx 760, some 5 y/o gigabyte mobo, 2 sticks of 4gb hyperx ram, a 3 tb hdd, and a bulldozer cpu. I personally trust it since the psu necer failed me but... If you are all so sure.
  4. Just in case, any other ideas aside from the psu?
  5. Ok, ill have into serious consideration to buy a new one. Did you consider the fact that the green led on the mobo was lit? Anyway, which is the cheapest (but of reasonable quality) psu for my rig? Recommendations?
  6. What a bummer. I live in argentina and i kid you not, all pc components are DOUBLE the price so ill have to wait till next paycheck to buy a better psu. Regardless of that, are you all CERTAIN the psu is the problem or is just a posible part of the solution? (Ill try to take the pc assembled to a repair center and ask them to try with a psu of their own)
  7. But why? I used one of those onlinw wat calculators and the total wattage want over 350.
  8. If you mean jumpstaring the boot with the "scredriver trick" ive already tried that. Nothing happened.
  9. Sadly no. Only a pair of ddr3 sticks.
  10. *cpu cooler cables to the optional slot which i guess is for watercooling.
  11. Yes, i did. Either way the mobo should start by pressing a little button thats in it but no, it doesnt.
  12. I already tried so many things that i forgot to mention those 2. Yes, cleared the cmos, used another battery, tried the screwdriver trick, even plugged the cpu to the optional slot just in case. No response from the mobo.
  13. I bought practically a new computer so this may be particularly dificult to solve. I recently acquired a new cpu, gpu, ram and mobo. Intel 6600k, Gtx 1060, corsair vengance lpx ddr4 2400mhz 1x8gb and last but not least a Asus z170-a. The main problem is that when i finished plugging all the cords and components together, the mobo just wouldnt react either to the case´s power button or the mobo power button for it to turn on. All the changes i can see upon pluggin uin the psu to the power outlet, is that a little light on the mobo called PWR_LED turns green, thats it. The psu works fine in the computer im writing this post with so i can fairly discart the psu as the problem. I have already tried "breadboarding" it with only the cpu, cooler, 1 stick of ram (in all the posible slots), and a HDD in the "OS Drive" SATA port. One thing i noticed is that the 6600k supports DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V and the memory i have is 2400mhz. The motherboard should support it by downclocking the memory, right? When i say that the pc does not boot nor post, i actually mean that after all the right components are plugged in, when i press the power button in either the case or the mobo, absolutely nothing happens. No fans, no beeps from the mobo speaker. Nothing. The difficult part of diagnosing this myself is that all the components are new and most not compatible with my old mobo so i cant test any of them individually. I REALLY hope the mobo is not busted... THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE! *UPDATE* I sent the build to a technician and the first thing he did was check with another psu to see if that was the peoblem.
