  1. Since one friend of mine already installed a gtx 1070 driver could i just re-download it to make sure its the right one? Will it overwrite the driver i have installed now?
  2. The graphics card driver being the first link i get when i search my gpu?
  3. So my pc is ready to use, i have installed windows successfully and now the only thing thats left are the drivers. This is the most frustrating part for me since i have no knowledge about them. First of all i would like to ask which hardware need drivers and how i can tell i have installed them all. Secondly i would like for someone to specify which drivers i need to install, for example i've heard you dont need to install all of the motherboard drivers. (Basically i would like for someone to tell me which of drivers on the following links i need to download) Processor (i7 6700k): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4-20-GHz- ^Do i download only the first link that says "Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.45]" because downloading all the links seems too much GPU (EVGA GTX 1070FTW): I went to the advanced driver search and searched the gtx 1070 and from all of the links it showed me i clicked the first link. Is that the only one i download? http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/119914/en-us Motherboard (Asus z170-a): This is the most complicated. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_Download/ First i would like to know from which sections i need to download eg. BIOS, AUDIO, CHIPSET etc. and secondly what exactly in that section. For example the Qualified Vendor List (3) section has three drivers you can download "versions". Do i simply just download the one on the top for each section? Thats about it, i hope these are the only pieces that need drivers. I would like to thank you for your time since this is has been quite a long post and im sorry that i am asking so much detail (its just that i know absolutly nothing on drivers) PS. When updating drivers (or if i installed a wrong driver) do i need to uninstall the driver before installing a new one or can i just install the new driver and overwrite the old one? PC build incase there are any other parts that needs drivers that i forgot about: CPU: i7 6700k GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW COOLER: Cryorig H7 Motherboard: Asus z170-a Ram: HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4-2133MHz PSU: EVGA Supernova 650W G2 HDD: Western digital 1TB Caviar Blue SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB
  4. I have already got a few drivers under processors but not under display
  5. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4-20-GHz- Is this where i get them? And if yes which ones?
  6. Just the nvidia gtx 1070 under display. Do i need to install the cpu graphics driver aswell?
  7. Yes, thats what i mean. Shouldnt there be more than just one driver thats called NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 Or is that it? Also, when do i know when to updadte the driver?
  8. So i finished my pc and i took it to some friend of mine so he could install a windows key he had. Im not sure if he installed the nvidia gtx 1070 drivers on it though because when i asked him weather he did, he gave me a "not so sure about it answer". He told me he did but it sounded like he may have made a mistake. What im asking is whether i can see if i got all the drivers i need on the driver menu in control panel and if it will be bad if i re download the drivers myself even though he may have downloaded them aswell. Ps. Are drivers just for gpu or do i need them for anything else? EVGA gtx 1070 FTW i7 6700k Asus z170-a
  9. WOW i just found it. There was a tiny button on the bottom of the monitor and once i pressed it, it opened. Thank you guys, i guess i got excited so i didnt realise the monitor features
  10. What do you mean on the wall? Im just trying to press the on thing which is in the front right corner of the monitor. Dont tell me there is another on switch on monitor. That will make me feel so stupid
  11. I just connected the dvi cable to the mobo but still, nothing happens. Not even a light on the monitor corner where you press the on off thing. Does it matter which side of the dvi cable goes where? They are both identical
  12. Oh i just realised what you guys are saying. You are telling me to connect through mobo and when i install gpu drivers i plug it to gpu?
  13. Its the first time i open this pc, i just built it yesterday. In order to install drivers arent i suppoed to see something first? PS. I havent even installed windows yet
