  1. Hi Everyone, So far I have been using my windows 10 pc (latest build) with a local user because of the whole login screen thing that just annoying the hell out of me.. But now, with the whole 'play anywhere' thing of xbox I want to connect my microsoft account to my pc, is there any way to skip the login password screen? I know you can set a PIN code but this is not a good solution for me personally as I tend to leave my pc when powering it and get back to it later when all is up and running. I saw this https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/skip-windows-10-login-screen/ but it seems to work only with local user and not with Microsoft account (tried it) is there any other way? can I just login to the xbox app with my microsoft account and keep using a local user with the rest of the services? I have 2-steps enabled if it matters. Thanks a lot.
  2. Oh sorry, english is not my first language. what I meant is regarding to this : https://www.theguardian.com/technology/askjack/2012/sep/27/wi-fi-health-risks You know, like how everyone always says cellphones are bad and you put them away from you as possible,etc..
  3. Hi everyone, So my old 6 year, shitty TP-Link router has stopped working (I was suffering from many problems with it latley but this time it's gone for good) and I want to buy one of the above models (unless of course you guys have other recommendations,I was thinking maybe of the TP-LINK Archer C9?) so..which one is better? I have 3 PC's,5 consoles,5 wirless devices (smartphones and a tablet) and 3 smart tv's that will be connected to the router, simultaneously most of the time. Stability and maybe low radiation amount to be as low as possible(?) are the most important things to me. Thank you very much for your help, have a nice day.
  4. Hi everyone, I have recently completed my pc build and I want to make it as quiet as possible: 6700k Theraml paste arctic MX-4 if it has any effect CM HYPER 212X (I know it is not considered a 'quiet' cooler but I swear I could barely hear it even without the case side panel) MSI Gaming X gtx1080 samsung 950pro m2 WD Black (now this one I CAN hear - not the best choice for a quiet hdd I know..) Fractal design define r5 blackout with stock fans EVGA 650W P2 Now, in general I am quiet happy with the noise level as of now, however it's still not *exactly* where I want it to be,close, but still not there. I was thinking of replacing the fans with the new be quiet! silent wings 3,but as of now they are still (!) not available, despite the company's announcment that they will be available at the end of june... I have no problem waiting for them to come out,but my question to you guys is do you think there will be a noticable improvment base on the quiet level of say..silent wings2 against the Fractal stock fans? And another question is..what is the optimal configuration for fans? right now I have one pull at the front and one push at the back..I do not plan OC,just want sufficent cooling perfomance and low noise level, should I go with 3 fans? two at the front and one at the back? I also removed the HDD cages except the lowest one and also removed the optical drive cage to maximize air cooling if that matters.. Thank you very much for any help!
  5. I see..I will try this but it is very weird as I have barely touched the settings (only lowered the brightness and chose 'custom color' mode to tune the RGB)..
  6. I am using BitDefender free version, very happy with it - light on resources, barley felt during use,no annoying pop-up messages, highly recommended. I also use Malewarebytes from time to time. Bitdefender+Malewarebytes (but not at the same time) works best for me.
  7. Hi everyone, I have recently completed my new build after 8,long,painful years with a shitty pc.. But I am having issues enabling the DP1.2 feature on my new monitor OSD..each time I have activated it the screen goes black and turn on after few seconds as long as the feature is enabled.. I am using a high quality (I think) IO GEAR cable and the gpu is a MSI GTX1080 which to my understanding is even DP 1.3/1.4 enabled.. My monitor revision is A01 if that matters.. And my most important question? is there even an image quality diffrence between enabling DP1.2 and keep it disabled? what will I miss by not enabling it? Thank you very much guys
  8. Hi everyone, I recently build my new pc: Core i7 6700K (no oc) ASUS Z170 HERO ALPHA G.skill trident Z 3200mhz cl14 I guess thats the important stuff to the matter. I have updated the bios to the latest version available on Asus's website and set the XMP profile and nothing else. I did managed to start the windows installation but after that I got an 'overclock failed' screen and was not able to boot the system beyond POST.. I know that the motherboard supports higher RAM speeds then that so I don't know what could be the issue...Can you please help me? Also,I know that there is some way to set the speed manually, how can I do that? Thank you very much
  9. I listened to some of your advice and changed the card from Strix to the MSI - thanks! I forgot to mention I had a chance to get the samsung 512gb 950 pro at really low price so I changed the ssd to this model - will this affect any of the noise output? One more thing regarding the fans - does the fractal ones are quiet enough? replacing to be quiet silent wings 2 or 3 with 2 as intakes and one exhaust fan will improve my airflow and noise levels? Sadly I can't replace the HDD as I already got it,hoping the case will block some of the noise at least.. Thank you!
  10. Then can you please recommend me an air cooler model that is considered a quite one? Overclocking is not a priority. And I took the WD black mainly because I heard it is more reliable drive..should I switch to something else like the green or blue? Thanks!
  11. I'm actually really surprised about what you said..I did quite an extensive research before.. I don't know about the MSI card but about every review I read about the Strix mentioned that it is quiet enough to not annoy anyone. Regarding the PSU,every review I read and also people onthis forum said it is one of the quietest and quality PSU available today..and it does have an ECO mode. Any recommendation for different components though?
  12. Hello everyone! I just recently ordered the parts for my upcoming build (after 7 years with a shitty pc..) and unfortunately i'm not a tech savy..especially when it comes to cooling.. I mainly want the pc to be as quiet as possible and I think my choice of componnents reflects that, but still to maintain decent cooling (not planning any oc as of right now) So here is what I have: 6700k with coolermaster hyper 212x asus rog hero g.skill trident z 32gb 3200mhz asus gtx 1080 strix wd cavial black 2 tb samsung 850 evo 500gb fractal design define r5 blackout edition evga 650w p2 In general, should I expect relatively quiet and cool operation with these componnents? or should I change something? *I might replace the fans of the case with the new silent wings 3 when those will come out Now,regarding cooling, what is the best possible way to keep this rig as quiet and cool as possible? should I place the PSU with the fan turning upside down or up? The best I can do with two case fans is one at the front for pull and the other for push correct? Regarding the cpu cooler, how should I place the fan? turning towards the ram sticks or the other way towards the back case fan? can I remove the upper HDD cage and place the hdd on the lower one,so I can have more air going through the front with the front fan? or should I keep the upper HDD cage and remove the lower one,so the fan can cool the hdd? Thank you so much to anyone who can help me!
  13. I did not knew Asus is a garbage manufacture... Should I just go with something like the Dell u2715h?
  14. Hi everyone! I'm in the proccess of building a new rig and I need to upgrade my monitor (a shitty 2008 samsung TN panel) to something more modern, and because I tend to use my monitor for a long, long time I decided to go for the ASUS one.. Only problem is,I heard abot those backlight bleed/IPS glow issues that seems to be pretty common on this monitor, but I thought maybe there was a revision/recent monitors that have less chance to suffer from these issues? It's an extremely expensive monitor and I just want to know if there is any specific model I should be looking for to avoid these issues? Thank you very much.
  15. Thank you guys! Regarding the PSU itself , I might be able to switch it off..thing is,it was a gift that I really did not expect to get..Should I ? I am looking for a very very quiet PSU,anything else is recommended?
