  1. That isn't quite the solution that I am looking for. I'm interested in a mic that can either be mounted on a stand, or a wearable mic possibly, the best would be a mic I can attatch to my headphones via like a magnet like the modmic, its quality just isn't good enough though and picks up keyboard noise. It's honestly all about the audio quality and not picking up my mechanical keyboard or mouse clicking/other background noise.
  2. Hello, I am looking for a better mic than what I have now, which is an antlion mod mic 6 attached to my AT M50X headphones, I'm looking for something that is extremely clear and won't pick up keyboard/mouse sounds, and I do not know a whole lot about microphones, is there a way to make them not pick up keyboard/mice sounds, or does it just depend on the microphone, or is there like a processing software for microphones real time? It must be a standalone microphone that I can either attach to my headphones (Preferred) or I guess a Mic boom, but I don't want it getting in my way. Thank you for your time.
  3. I mean In clarity/quality. Also since I'm going from a TN panel to IPS will I notice the delay at all?
  4. Alrighty I'll go ahead and purchase it, how much of a difference will I notice going from 1080 to 1440p?
  5. So I shouldn't notice any performance decrease? If I absolutely despise my experience with the monitor, and I purchase on Amazon I can always return it yeah?
  6. Hello, I was looking at the asus pg279q, and I currently have a vg248qe monitor, 2x GTX 1080ti and a 6950x CPU, and I was worried about what kind of performance impact I would be looking at switching to 1440p 165hz. I don't want to upgrade to 1440p if my hardware can't produce high enough fps as I am used to 144hz. what kind of a performance impact should I be expecting?
  7. I looked up the difference between the two panels on tftcentral, the IPS panel has a 4ms delay vs a 1ms delay on the TN panel, which is the same as my current monitors delay. You don't think I will notice switching from a 1ms panel to a 4ms?
  8. Yeah, sorry about that, still getting used to the forum. What games would I notice a delay in? I also use the monitor to play xbox one such as halo 5 and the master chief collection.
  9. I play the half life series, skyrim, GTA, call of duty, the borderlands series, DayZ, Fallout series, Portal 1 and 2, games along that nature.
  10. Hello, I currently have an ASUS VG248QE 144hz 24 inch 1080p monitor. I was looking at some 1440p monitors and I saw the ROG swift PG279Q which is a 27" 1440p IPS display at 165 HZ, but I also saw the ROG swift PG278QR, which is a 27" 165 HZ 1ms delay panel which I believe is a TN panel. The current monitor I have has a TN panel and the colors are not amazing. I mostly game but also do some light video editing and content consumption on the side, which monitor do you think would be a good fit for me? I know the IPS panels have a lot better color but they also have more of a delay if I am not mistaken. Would I notice any more of a delay between my current monitor and the one with the IPS panel? Thanks for your help.
  11. Hello, I was looking at some SSD's and I noticed the price has changed significantly since I bought my SSD. I was looking at M.2 SSD's and I saw the Samsung 970 EVO 2TB, What exactly are the differences between a SATA SSD, and an NVME PCIE ssd? I understand that the sata connection effectively bottlenecks how fast an SSD can run, and that PCIE is a lot faster. Will I see a large increase in how fast I can move/copy files? What will be noticeable if I were to upgrade.
  12. I'm used to getting 144hz, and running these cards at 4k will not produce that high of a framerate, and yes it is noticeable when it dips. Also, I don't really want to drop 1800 dollars on a 4k 144hz monitor right now. looking more around the 500-700 dollar range.
  13. I currently have an asus VG248QE 24" 144hz 1080p display. I was looking around on amazon and I saw the ASUS ROG swift PG279Q 27" 4ms IPS display. I also saw ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR 27” 2560x1440 1ms display. I am trying to figure out which one I should purchase. I know that the IPS displays have a hell of a lot better color, and that for my VG248QE to even look anywhere near usable I have to use a color profile, which I have gotten used to over the years. I'm not quite ready to dive into 4k yet I don't think. I like to have a high refresh rate, rather than an ultra high resolution. I have two GTX 1080 TI's running in SLI. I don't think I will be purchasing the 2080 TI's. What is your opinion on which I should buy? Am I going to notice a lot lower FPS upgrading from 1080p to 1440p?
  14. I will soon be getting 1gbps fiber connection, and I wanted to know what kind of speeds I would be expecting if I used the ethernet port directly from the modem to the motherboard, or would I need to install/purchase an additional PCI-E networking card? Additionally, what ethernet cable would be recommended? I currently am using cat 6a. Still waiting on them to finish stranding the fiber, they had to replace all of our poles in our area.
