  1. I just recently built a new PC as well, I went with an i5-8400 and an EVGA GTX 1060 SSC https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KqRFf7/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-ssc-gaming-video-card-06g-p4-6264-kr. I cant say anything bad about the card so far, I haven't had any problems, it runs relatively cool under load around 75C-78C playing games on High/Ultra after some fan profile tweaking. I feel like this card is somewhat under rated in the PC community (just my opinion) I play AAA titles 1080p and easily push over 100 FPS at basically all times. I paired with a 144hz monitor the games look/feel amazing and I couldnt be happier with my choice.
  2. Hey guys, Just recently finished my build and I decided to go with an EVGA GTX 1060 SSC, my next question is what are your recommendations for a nice 1080p monitor for it? Should I go 144hz? 100hz, 75hz? Please give me some recommendations! Thanks
  3. I use a paper towel.... just make sure you dont leave any little bits behind!
  4. I know it is not on your list you posted but I just recently installed The Crucial MX500 m.2 250GB into my PC and I am liking it. The speeds are great and for $75 USD on NewEgg you cant go wrong in my opinion.
  5. I figured this was the case wasnt sure how much RAM was dedicated to Intel UHD 630 graphics, my GPU will be coming in the mail hopefully by Tuesday. Hope to see some drops in RAM usage when that comes in! I plan on upgrading to 16GB as soon as I get the chance, that and a Dedicated GPU should definitely resolve some of the RAM being used up by integrated GPU
  6. Thanks so much. What I also noticed which I though was weird was that the manual for my motherboard suggested the RAM be installed in Slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3, could this have something to do with it?
  7. Hey guys, I just built a new PC with an Intel 8400 and 8GB of 2400 RAM. I am noticing high RAM usage when idle with no application or windows open. I understand that Windows 10 uses a decent amount of RAM when idle but I didnt think this much. There is also a good amount of my RAM being used a cached RAM? Will this RAM be freed up for application when it is needed? I have posted a picture for better understanding. Thanks
  8. What is your opinion on B360 over the H series? I was under the impression H was the same as Z without Iver clocking and B wasn't for gaming.
  9. Makes sense, I tend to stay away from Chrome for reasons stated above... Lol do you think there will be a big difference going from the 8600 to 8400?
  10. Awesome thanks for your input, do you really think it's worth the extra money to go for 16GB RAM? Is 8 typically enough?
  11. Hey guys, I will be building a new PC shortly and need some advice, budget is $1000 USD. I don't plan on overclocking the CPU or GPU and I don't currently have any monitor above 1080p. I haven't built a PC in about 8 years so I have fallen out with up to date hardware to be honest. Currently I'm looking at an i5-8600 and a GTX 1060 6gb with a H370 mobo. I would like an SSD for my main boot drive and will probably buy a 7200 RPM drive down the road for storage. I'm stuck on Samsung Evo for SSD, only because I feel like that's all anyone ever talks about, what are the comparible companies for SSD other than Samsung? Do you guys think I could build a reliable 1080p 60fps gaming machine for this price? Please leave suggestions! I'm really open to anything! I do prefer to stay Intel though. Attached is what is currently in my NewEgg cart Thanks!
  12. Just as Damascus said, just trying to save some money. All X470 seem over priced to me, plus the B350 seem to have everything I need and I can get it mATX.
  13. Hey guys, Gonna be building a new PC real soon (next couple of days) and am looking at the Ryzen 2600. I have been reading mixed stories on the internet about them not being compatible with B350, other people are saying the B350 have been shipping with the updated BIOS since January. Whats the case here? Has anyone had any success buying a B350 and it working on arrival without having to upgrade the BIOS? I really dont mind getting the boot kit from AMD but if I dont have to go through the hassle I wont. What B350 do you all suggest for a 2600? Thanks
  14. https://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PF-24-Inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BV1XBEI This is the freesync one I was looking at. For $25 more, you can have Freesync technology for the future. If I was to get a new AMD monitor in the future
  15. I was looking at this monitor yesterday and was hoping to find some feedback for it. The reviews looked great, so I might end up getting this. Its going to be between this and a freesync monitor. SO even if in the future I could get an AMD GPU and enjoy the freesync
  16. Hey guys, I will be building a new PC with a GTX 1060 6gb and I am torn at what monitor to buy. I was looking at the AOC G2460PQU and I really like how it looks and spec wise seems pretty decent. I am looking for a 1080p 144hz monitor preferably 24 inch. Would I be better off just buying a monitor with Freesync even though I will not be able to use that feature? For some reason monitors with the Freesync technology all have awesome specs for a cheaper price.
  17. I definately like this case! Does it fit a normal ATX PSU? From the pictures the bay looks kinda small, but I figured it was just from the pictures
  18. Hey guys, gonna be putting a build together with a mATX motherboard and am looking for a mATX case with a bottom mounted PSU. Any suggestions would be awesome! I am also going to be using a fully modular PSU so cable management wont be an issue.
  19. Check out this video, I found it super helpful when I was in the same dilemma!
  20. The cheaper you go the worst they sound, funny how that works right? A headset is something you should save up for, I would day something in the $150 to $200 range is a good headset. In my opinion a budget of $1500 for a PC that you want to stream with, play games, want an awesome headset, need a monitor AND a desk is low... If you saved up anther even $300 you could could build something youd be happier with in the end
  21. I felt like being nice and put something together for you, it dosnt have a headset or desk included but its way better bang for your buck. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/9PdRBP
  22. First off, I would suggest using pcpartpicker.com instead of finaglingwith Word. And it will show you where the parts are the cheapest!
  23. Your call man im only here to give my opinion
  24. All i can say about that keyboard is you get what you pay for, id never use a CM keyboard but if your crunching numbers that hard already I guess go for it. And like I said earlier, maybe a 500GB HDD instead of your 1TB? A cheaper mousepad? or even a cheaper desk? All I can say is, a 1070 is something that should have entered your build first and you build around that
