  1. Hi all! Looking to purchase a new monitor/tv with the intention to use it for my PC, as well as my PS4 and potentially (preferably) general tv use (netflix, streaming). Does anyone have any recommendations? Main limits are size - to maybe around 28", and 4K resolution
  2. I've had some very, very bad experiences with AMD cards. Bought a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290 new on black friday sale last year for cheap, and it kept cutting out, causing black screens, running EXTREMELY hot, I had to run the fans at a stupid speed constantly to get it to work, and even at that... It eventually broke. So I went for the 960 instead.
  3. In all honesty I've never experienced max settings 1080p on any game rofl. All my friends are console gamers or have really meh pc's, and my friend with the 970 doesn't play on max anything. I suppose the best I've seen is 4k tv while I was in murica but it really isn't comparable
  4. I just don't want my games choppy and looking like ass, dude
  5. So the general consensus is 1070 and possibly get the 970 to tide me over. Sounds like a good idea! On another note. Will my 4670k be cool for the future?
  6. Are new games pushing 4gb? I've been finding the Division and Overwatch pretty fine on high and epic settings respectively. Also, there isn't any "pre-order" or custom 1070s even being advertised yet, I've got this offer for the 970 in like. 2 weeks.
  7. I think the most I'd jump to is 1440p. Or more than one 1080p monitor. Why not?
  8. Hi guys! Doing some upgrading in my system right now, currently running a 4670k and a 960. I was thinking about getting a new 1070 once it comes out, but my friend is thinking of doing the same and offered me his 970 STRIX for only £90, so I was thinking if I bought that, I could buy another and just SLI them. Is it worth it over a 1070? For 1080p gaming just now, maybe a higher res later.
  9. I'm tempted to get a new GPU, either a 1070 or even go crossfire 480's depending on how good they are. If I went for the latter, I'd have to go micro ATX
  10. How long is it between you waking up and playing games? I find that while playing not long after waking up strains my eyes also, so it might not be worth investing in such products and making time elsewhere.
  11. Budget: anything but not overboard. I *think* my 4670k still has a good while left in it as well as my PSU, so maybe just get a new motherboard and more RAM
  12. Hi guys! I'm moving out of home soon to a flat with some friends, and there isn't the greatest amount of room for things such as my PC, the way it is right now. I have a Corsair C70 case, and it's huge for being a Mid tower. I was thinking, with new cases and GPU's etc coming out now, it might be the best for me to upgrade my PC as well as downgrading to a smaller form factor. My current system: i5 4670k Gigabyte Z87X-D3H 8GB HyperX 1600Mhz Gigabyte GTX 960 Gaming Edition (3 fans) Corsair C70 650W EVGA Supernova NEX Gold I've got my eyes on a few of the smaller cases, such as the new Define Nano S, however I'm also a fan of the new PSU covers people are bringing to the table. Basically, I'm looking for suggestions of an upgrade path, both on a form factor and hardware scale.
