Hello everyone, I currently have a BenQ GW2765HT (27" 1440p 60Hz monitor) powered by a GTX 1070, and I'm considering swapping to a 144Hz ultra-wide curved monitor or just a regular 144Hz monitor. Couple of questions: What are the pros and cons of getting one? Does the curvature actually help to immerse you in the game or is it just marketing BS? Thanks in advance.

Looking for a PSU with two 4-pin floppy connectors
Skardiaz replied to Skardiaz's topic in Power Supplies
Yeah, that's the one, and now that you mention it, I think I have it connected incorrecly. If I recall correctly, those go with the two cables from the fans, like you said. Scratch what I said about the 4 pin thing. -
Looking for a PSU with two 4-pin floppy connectors
Skardiaz replied to Skardiaz's topic in Power Supplies
I'm aware that the H100i is powered by a SATA cable; I'm talking about the Y cable with 4 pins on each end. I assume that cable is for the LED. -
I need a PSU of at least 400W, with two 4-pin connectors for the H100i cooler and that's not Corsair. My previous PSU was Corsair and it died after just two years of use.

Turns out it was the PSU. I changed it and now it's working fine. Thanks!

Goddamnit. The motherboard is brand new and the CPU is about two years old. What I found odd is that it happened minutes after connecting my phone and that phone has always had problems connecting to the PC.

I was using my PC this morning and I connected my cellphone via an USB cable. A few minutes later I heard a "pop" sound coming from the back of the PC and it turned off instantaneously. Now when I turn on the PSU, the white LED on the GPU keeps blinking. It used to stay on before the "pop" thing. Pressing the start button on the case doesn't do anything. The PC is connected to a power strip. I have other deviced connected to the same power strip and they work flawlessly. Connecting the PC directly to the AC outlet results in the same: a blinking, white LED light.

I see. Thanks a lot, by the way. I'm also looking for a headset and your comment (plus a bunch of Amazon reviews) convinced me. One last question: Are they 7.1? And if they are not, does it make much of a difference?

What's the difference between the normal Cloud and Cloud Core?

I will be selling my Logitech G35, so I want to get a new wireless headset. I'm might get the G930 but I also want to see other options.

Thank you very much for your comments. I didn't include an SSD because he's not a hardcore gamer and I think he wouldn't care about the faster boot times. Nevertheless, I'm considering it. I forgot to add something in the original post. I added the 1060 instead of the 1050 because it isn't available yet. Do you think the 1050 would be enough to run SC2? Panama. The only things we will buy here are the case, RAM, monitor and keyboard & mouse.

My best friend wants to build his first gaming PC and is mainly interested in playing StarCraft II. I made this list fairly quickly and think it's a decent build for what he wants. Please let me know what you think. I appreciate any suggestions. Bear in mind his budget is $800.

Two days ago I changed the motherboard battery and everything appeared to be working fine. Yesterday I was just browsing reddit when suddently I got a BSOD (or rather Blue Screen of Sadness) with the error: THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER. I updated the BIOS, as suggested in a Tom's Hardware post but that hasn't fixed it. I also updated the GPU drivers. Bear in mind my PC has been having problems lately. Things like: LAN driver disappearing and appearing after a restart. One of the fans of the GPU occasionally doesn't starts. PC suddenly turning off completely.
