  1. I'm in the market for a 360mm AIO to go in my new Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic Razer edition and have been having trouble finding any that support Razer Chroma. I know Thermaltake AIOs do but they are way too expensive. The only other ones I can find are from Enermax, which I don't trust because of their corrosion issues, and one from Silverstone that recently released and hasn't been reviewed by any of the big review sites/YouTubers. Are there any other AIOs that support Chroma? Does anyone know anything about the Silverstone PF360-ARGB? https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=867&&area=en#undefined3
  2. I haven't chosen a card yet but I was hoping I'd have room for the Gigabyte Aorus 1070 linked below but it's a triple slot. Thanks for your quick response. I guess I'll have to settle for a card with a less robust cooler. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125956&cm_re=nvidia_gtx_10-_-14-125-956-_-Product
  3. I've been looking for hours today and can't find any stats on the maximum graphics card width for this case. Their website says it is dual slot compatible but it doesn't say if there is clearance for cards with bigger cooling solutions. Does anyone know if this case will hold a graphics card that is more than 2 slots wide? I'm wanting to put a 3 slot card in it and need to know if it will fit before I buy. Thanks
  4. Thanks for responding but I was hoping to stay away from water cooling. From benchmarks that I've seen of other single fan rads, they are not good for overclocking. I don't know much about that AIO. How well does it perform with overclocking?
  5. Does anyone know of a cooler that will fit on this motherboard that would give me some more room for overclocking? My current setup can be found here https://pcpartpicker.com/b/2nTBD3. The problem seems to be that MSI thought it would be a good idea to place the processor really close to the PCIe and RAM slots so there is very little space available for coolers. Thanks for helping out, Lazz89
  6. Thanks for the fast replies. I was afraid the motherboard was dead too just hoping that was not the problem. As far as the hard drive is concerned, it seems to be all there but it just wouldn't boot in my PC. Could this be due to some kind of corruption of the MBR? If so, can it be fixed?
  7. I have been asked by a friend of mine to fix his Alienware X51. I cannot get the system to post. Whenever I turn on the PC, the fans come on but nothing is displayed on the monitor. I have no idea what the problem could be. Here is what I have tried: Switching the graphics card out Clearing CMOS Trying to boot his hard drive in my PC to see if it would go to windows, (it was unrecognized as a boot device) Using a recovery USB drive Using a Ubuntu installed on a USB drive Nothing worked so I'm completely lost. Does anyone have any advice?
  8. I want to thank you two for your input. I would like to defend my choice of motherboard because I eventually plan to overclock and from what I've heard the Asus Maximus VIII Impact is the best for that. Right now, I intend to keep the motherboard choice and in a year upgrade the processor and graphics card. I feel like that makes more sense than buying a cheaper board that does not have some of the features I want and be forced to replace it and both the graphics card and processor. Is this logical or should I go with a cheaper board to start with? While this is a budget build right now, I fully intend to maximize this build in the near future.
  9. I am wanting to build a Mini-ITX gaming PC but have never built a gaming PC or a Mini-ITX PC. I have planned my build to be possible to overclock once I can afford an i7 and a water cooler. Here is the build I've got planned so far: CPU - Intel Pentium G4400 3.3 GHz Dual-Core Motherboard - Asus Maximus VIII Impact RAM - 2 Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR4-2133 Storage - Sandisk Ultra II 480GB SSD Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2 GB Superclocked+ ACX 2.0 Case - Fractal Design Core 500 PSU - EVGA Supernova GS 650W 80+ Gold Optical Drive - LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer OS - Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Here's what I need to know before continuing with my plan. 1. Will everything I've picked out fit in the case with minimal issues? I know it will be tight but as long as I have room to manage cables and maximize air flow it's going to be okay. 2. Is the PSU the best option for my build? I want a fully modular PSU that will provide enough power, be efficient, and still be under $80. 3. Is the above graphics card the best option for under $150? 4. Do you have any other advice or ideas to improve my build and still keep it under $1000? Thanks in advance for your help. I look forward to hearing everyone's input.
