  1. I have the same problem, no cpu bottleneck. My temps are fine and I did all the things people have wrote in the thread my gpu usage stays around 50-60% and maxes out sometimes at like mid 60s. I ran a benchmark with heaven and my gpu went to 100% so I was very confused. Can anyone help me thanks!

    Specs:

GPU: gtx 1660 super Asus Tuf 6gb OC

    CPU: i5-9400f (no overclock)

    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15

MOBO: Asus Prime Z370-P II GA1151 (Intel 9th Gen)

  2. Think I might get a new motherboard that supports my current cpu as well as higher memory speeds. Hopefully i'll see a noticeable change
  3. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H170-PRO-GAMING/ This is the motherboard I have, think the max speed is 2133mhz
  4. I'm a broke college student, so replacing everything isn't the best financial decision. Looking for a somewhat inexpensive way to fix this issue
  5. Understandable, but I play games like fortnite and csgo and playing with higher video settings isn't really the best play. But i'll try limiting the fps
  6. So i guess if it doesn't work would the next play be to get a new motherboard that supports higher memory speeds
  7. But I'm not sure that my motherboard supports speeds over 2133.
  8. Got 16gb of DDR4 2133, so I probably end up upgrading the ram but how much of a difference will i notice if I upgrade to 2666
  9. What type of ram would you recommend getting for this build?
  10. In my current build my specs areCPU: Intel Core I7-6700 CPU @ 3.40 ghzGPU: GTX 1080 tiMotherboard: H170 Pro gaming motherboardMemory: 16gb DDR4 RAMMy overall question is, I feel like i'm not getting enough performance based from my specs. In video games I often fluctuate frame rates. Is my GPU possibly being bottle necked by my CPU? I play fortnite and csgo heavily, I understand these are cpu intensive games but I struggle to even break 200 frames at times and these frames fluctuate heavily dropping under 70 at times.I'm stuck in a predicament. I feel as if a gtx 1080ti is a little overkill for gaming at 1920 x 1080 at 144hz. So would you advise selling it for a cheaper GPU, or on the other hand keep the 1080ti and just upgrade the CPU instead.I'm open to any suggestion or input thank you for taking your time to read my issue
  11. Yes most games I play my CPU hits close to 100% a majority of the time
  12. Any suggestions on what RAM I should purchase? Thanks for the help
  13. Thank you for the response means a lot, sorry for replying late. My BIOS is completely up to date I updated it about 2 weeks ago. Currently my monitor is able to get a signal from my computer but only when a single ram stick is in slot B2, for some reason it doesn't work in the others slots. I've tried the 2nd 8gb piece of ram in the same slot but I end up running into the same issue. So i assume this specific piece of RAM is broken. Should I just get new RAM or should I follow the steps and reset the CMOS
  14. I think I might just do that, this might be a far out question but how does ram correlate with GPU usage?
  15. Tried upping the ram in the bios to everything above 2133, but when I did I couldn't even boot windows i would just get a error message
