  1. I wasn't sure where to post this but since the 13th I've been having problems. Firstly, I run a website that uses Amazon SES to deliver emails upon registration, notifcations that kind of thing. On average I sent 100-150 emails a day. I received a warning yesterday that I my account was locked due to 411,000 emails being sent since the 13th. I can't understand how that can happen. I've asked Amazon to provide details of those emails but have yet to be given an example. I've had no failure to deliver emails either, or complaints. So I'm at a loss as to whats gone on. Second, my spotify account was being used by someone else from the 16th. I logged in and there were 70 playlists, 100's of liked songs of someone elses doing. They were also using it because my recently played was constantly updating with new things even after removing them. I had to contact spotify to delete my account and create a new one. Thirdly, I received a notification that my facebook account was attempted to get into last night. Admittedly, spotify and facebook had the same password. But the amazon used a different email and a password that couldn't be known unless it was written down in front of you. I've spent all night changing passwords for everything I can think of and reinstalling Windows from scratch. I don't know how this has happened.
  2. The fan looks connected to the cpu and paste area so I can't remove the fan.
  3. It's an Arctic Freezer Pro Rev 2 Cooler, does it just unscrew? What would I package the motherboard in if I did that?
  4. I've put my old motherboard, cpu and fan which are all attached on ebay and I'm thinking it wasn't the wisest of decisions. I don't know how I'm supposed to send it now, it still has the fan attached to it so its not easy to package it up and its a fairly big fan. I can put it in a box but what do I put around it?
  5. I’ve been reading about grounding myself etc before touching things inside the case what would you suggest for changing the ssd? I’ve got the new drive now but not done anything yet I also read to leave the psu plug in turned off but I need to remove the plug to get the case out of where it’s stored
  6. It's my storage drive, Windows is on a 500gb M.2 drive. Is there just one screw for that plate? Once I've done what @minibois said do I just power the computer on and it will work? I'd rather not mess around with more cables to be honest, I usually break things when I start doing things like that One larger ssd will be enough anyway together with my M.2.
  7. I've never done it before, I bought a new computer but I want to do change from 500gb to 1tb ssd drive. I found it on the back of my computer, I was hoping I could just unplug the two inputs and replace the new one in the same place. Is this what I do? I notice it is mounted onto a plate, but can't see how from this. Any idea what I have to do? Do I have to remove the whole thing it appears to be mounted onto?
  8. I had 11gb in delivery optimization files could it have been in there?
  9. Also my C drive has used 51gb but when I select the folders and look on properties the total is 24gb.
  10. I've thought for a while that when I uninstall a game from apps, the game doesn't delete properly. I've just got a new computer and decided to run a test. I installed a game from Microsoft store which was 10gb in size. I choose to install on my D drive. After installation, my D drive went down by 10gb as I expected. But my C drive went down by 9gb despite not selecting that to install it on. When I deleted the game, the D drive went back to what it was, but my C drive has not gone back to what it was, I have 8gb less free space from before I installed and deleted the game, Any idea whats going on?

    24G2U 144hz

Does hdmi not work? As I’ve ordered the same

    144hz

    I can’t decide whether to go to 75hz or try the 144hz on a 24inch monitor. I have a 2060 super gpu

    144hz

My eyes are quite sensitive to brightness so I tend to have the brightness turned right down on monitors. I’ve been told my gpu in my new computer is more suited to a 1080p 144hz monitors instead of 75hz which is why I was considering changing it.

    144hz

I was wondering is 144hz noticeable in any way apart from an improvement in gaming? For instance is it brighter? When I went from 60hz to 75hz I thought the screen became more clear and brighter. The screen I recently bought is 75hz but there is a 144hz available in the same which I’m considering swapping it for
  15. I use thunderbolt 3 on my Macbook to connect an audio interface to it but I can’t work out how to do the same on windows. Does anyone do this? I have a new b550 motherboard which I saw had a thunderbolt 3 port on it but don’t know whether that means I can replicate how it works on my Mac, on my pc so I can connect the same audio interface to it.
  16. Are 144hz screens noticeable in any way, in general browsing? As I do alot of that too, I didn't notice much going from 60 to 75 apart from it being a little brighter/clearer for some reason but it could have just been from using a better monitor.
  17. It is an option as I only recently bought it. I've never had a 144hz monitor before so not sure what to expect from it. My eyes are sensitive to bright monitors as it is, I have to have it set really low.
  18. My PC has been built today, hence the question as I've not been able to stop thinking about it since, feeling like I've wasted alot of money now. I have only just recently purchased this monitor too. Its the AOC 24G2U5
  19. I've got a PC being built (my first PC) and I've gone for a 3600x with a 2060 super. I originally had the 3700x with 1660 super but after reading alot of topics asking similar questions, I had in my head that the cpu was much more powerful than the gpu. So I downgraded the cpu slightly and upgraded gpu to be more even and hopefully last longer without having to upgrade. Problem is I've since been told that the 2060 super is for bigger screen resolutions and 144hz. Have I messed up ordering this for 1080p and 75hz? If so could it work to my benefit and last longer than the 1660 super would have?
  20. The 3600 TDP is 65, but the 3600x TDP is 95. I've been reading that the only thing that makes the TDP 95 is the cooler it comes with. So if I replace the cooler with something else, what is the TDP of the 3600x does it remain the same or is it lower?
  21. This is what I would have had but they only have 750 instock, hence choosing the more powerful version
  22. The problem is I can’t put it all together. So all things considered should I downgrade to the b500 1tb ssd isn’t that much more than a 2tb hdd, looking at around £50 more. I wouldn’t use more than 1tb I don’t think Also I did originally plan to have the rtx 2060 super if that’s worth it over the 1660 super?
