  1. Honestly, i probably won't even overclock my strix. And i plan on buying a second. There is absolutely nothing that i will ever need two 2k+ mhz cards for. And i won't for such a long time.
  2. They are still good cards, and you can easily save up and get another. I am just hell bent on this 1080 this 2500$ system i just built a week ago needs it. It's yelling at me about the 660 in there.
  3. Someone posted a forum link on an Amazon review for the EVGA cards stating the release dates of the cards as follows. Release dates have been postedSC - 13th June.FTW - 17th June.Classified - End of JuneHybrid - Early July.Hydro Copper - Late July Which one will you choose.
  4. I am still a little confused as to how these companies release custom cards, i have never gone for a card right when they come out (never had the money for a new card) but again, do they release the card like the 1080 strix at midnight or is it some random time in the day whenever they feel like it such as like 3:58 PM?
  5. I am going to buy the best shipping capable of whatever non reference card i decide to go with. No matter the cost. So in about 6 months when i am able to get one ordered ill pay for next day.
  6. I am the same way with shipping, i'll have work for 5 more days and still pay for 2 day shipping. haha
  7. I know it won't kill me man, but all the effort and 6 months of saving up to build this PC. I am tired of looking at the 660, it's like if you're building a car and you're waiting on the cams; then the truck delivering them crashes and you have to wait for them to ship it all over again. I am tired of not using what everything in this pc but this old crappy card is capable of.
  8. Crud man wish i could read that site. Why can't it be in English or in Spanish. I should have picked German has my 2nd language.
  9. That is why i refuse to buy a founders.
  10. HAHA quick he says. That is what i am saying, the prices are out of hand all these people who ordered two and are nickle and dimeing people that just want one for their new build. I have a completely built pc sitting here i just built not even 2 weeks ago i tossed my 660 in waiting on a custom 1080. And with my luck whichever card i end up choosing the sites will hit so much traffic i won't even be able to get it in the cart. Im aware the strix is being released tomorrow based on all the sources on the net (real reliable) if that is the case, would it be like a game release where at midnight it will be up for sale?
  11. The hype over this card is so frustrating, i truly believe it is 10x more hyped than the 680 was. I can't believe how difficult it is to get a founders edition. And it's probably going to be even harder and more expensive to get the cheap versions of non reference. A lot of people are just buying them to buy them (enthusiasts) and i have to say this being my first time actually building a high end gaming computer seeing as i am upgrading from a 660 sc (spent about $3200 once i get a card) it is starting to grind my gears knowing how long i really am going to have to wait to even have a chance at buying a lower end custom card despite the fact i am going for a ftw and later a second one. Does anyone know exactly why Europe and UK specifically get's access to these cards faster than the US?
  12. So, i am really really curious as to what custom 1080's everyone is looking at the most. I am drawn to the asus strix, but i truely have no idea which one to choose. Price really isn't an issue, more than i am looking for performance. I want a custom card that stays cool and will last a very long time. (Just built a $2500 setup built around the 1080 $3200 preferably after i buy it) because i went from a 560ti i5 ivy bridge dinosaur and pretty much went with the best of the best. I need some opinions on what partner card i should go for. Long gaming sessions, max graphics. 144hz monitors in the future.
  13. Yeah, i literally just built an entire pc around it. $1600 internals without the card; threw my old 660 in the new comp til the 1080 arrives. But i'd prefer a good cooled card.
  14. That is true, it is a matter of opinion. But i am curious as to what chairs people are using; seeing as the only dang chair anyone talks about is Dx Racer, i'd like to broaden my view and see what other chairs people sit in aside from the streamer selling point of Dx Racer.
