Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 was my 2nd option as it also has TB3, but I had the extra money and thought NFC + wireless charging was worth the extra.
If not I would def do the Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7
I was in the same boat, went instead with the Z170-PREMIUM.
It has Thunderbolt 3 which might be super useful as more devices come out, not to mention 3x3 wifi and NFC+wireless charging dock.
Hey,
So I'm ready to buy a GTX1080 and wanted to know when the non-reference variants are being released? I was interested in the Strix and the MSI Z variant, anyone have any info on these?
Well, I thought I didnt, but watching this computex vids I saw some decent thunderbolt 3 devices that could be useful down the line.
Is the 3x3 wifi really a big difference? Also what else is different?
Just read: http://videocardz.com/60631/asus-rog-strix-geforce-gtx-1080-offers-poor-overclocking
It seems the card doesn't OC well at all, this is really disappointing, i hope water cooled GPU's fair better....
