  1. Would I get bottlenecked from CPU and other components though, by adding a 1070 instead of a 970
  2. Personally I can't justify buying such an expensive motherboard (cause not giving you sheer performance), I am not planning on doing any heavy video montage so Intel i7 6700k is too much, and ram is way too expensive for me, I consider the vengeance lpx 2666Mhz.
  3. Also still hesitating between gtx 970 strix and gtx 1070(/1080)
  4. Hello again, so i changed my build that was kinda overkill for what I would be using it for, so here in the second version of it. What do you think (in term of compatibility, performance etc) ? i know I chose an overclockable motherboard and a non-OC CPU, but I might keep it anyway what I struggled most was the display. For the rest, maybe some compatibility issue with the case and components, with the components themselves or if you have other components in mind that would suit this build better, always appreciated. http://www.topachat.com/pages/configomatic.php?c=c%2FqmWiF5riRc07KQllG1H5DArOXXmvUMiqV46xHdXjA%3D thanks for your help.
  5. Understood, thanks for the explaination ! So how would decide/know if i need (or just wish) to have overclocking components ?
  6. thanks for the tips, much appreciated I don't know what exactly overclocking is, and i have no idea how i should build my computer to allow overclocking or what parts to take. the corsair platinium are really sweet at 3000 Mhz but a little overprice, so i'll probably go with the vengence 2600 or higher in that case.
  7. http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/pRyp9W that would a link to make it a little easier for you, idk what ram to take and display is probably bottlenecking me so i will probably take a better one, also for GPU idk what to choose between asus 970 strix 4gb or gtx 1080/1070. note : on amazon and in € it's way cheaper
  8. Hello there, I come from France and was wondering how my very first build is doing on paper. I'm still new to pc building and don't understand every details i should have taken in consideration while choosing this first layout but i watched guides on youtube such as Linus and JayzTwoCents. Now about the pc itself, i wish a solid build, something I can keep (if i dare to say) 10 years, so i thought about taking a good motherboard and CPU that i won't have to change and then ram and GPU that i can keep but eventually change in a few years. Now i wanted to ask you if my build would work but also how to adjust it for how I will use it. I am in last year of highschool and i wish after my BAC to game for pretty much the entire holidays but after that, i'll move out to university and won't (at least i don't think i will be able to) be able to take my desktop build with me because i'll be moving around quite frequently after that (work experience). The dilemma is i want something very solid to play on but not completely overkill for how i will be using it. Last thing, links are for french amazon so just take the name of the product, i tried to keep it ordered and when several choices i specified my preference. If you have other important components or other that i don't have written in my build, feel free to tell me and i'll add it to my list. Thanks a lot for you helping little noob me. Xelnaga. Ps: The display i took are not good enough for my current build i know i'll have to change that, tell me what you'd choose with this setup Desktop PC Build.odt
