  1. Sorry for the late reply. I'm running an ssd for boot and another for games. rest of my storage is mechanical drives for memes & music. But even when I play fortnite or overwatch my cpu is being used more than my gpu. is there a way to perhaps move most of the load to my gpu? I'm way out of loop with tech stuff now, appreciate any help
  2. Hey everyone, I got a decent build (well, decent 4 years ago) and I am really struggling to keep up with 144 frames on most games I play at 1080p. I have an i5 4670k @ stock (can't OC, old mobo died & new mobo isnt overclockable.) Evga superclocked 970 8GB ddr3 ram When I am gaming, my CPU usage is at 90-95% while playing fortnite, making me downscale 3d res to get over 144 frames. I want to do upgrades over the next couple months, should I upgrade my GPU first? Or upgrade to an entirely different chipset? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
  3. I did what you suggested, and it still turns off at 30 minutes exactly. I think I'll have to get a new motherboard
  4. I'm having the time of my life trying to figure this out. My computer is shutting off at 30 minutes on the dot, I've been using my phone as a timer. I have stress tested the cpu & gpu to make sure it wasn't a heating issue. I booted into safe mode with no drivers to see if it was a Windows issue, but no luck, still occurs. It also shuts off in bios at 30 minutes exactly. now others are saying it's my motherboard on its last legs (I hope not, can't go without a pc for a while). has anyone had a fix for it besides replacing motherboard? I have also updated bios, cleared cmos. I haven't reinstalled windows, I know it's not a Windows issue. any help would be appreciated
  5. For the last few weeks I had the issue where the clock on my pc would be off, and it would shut down randomly. It also would turn on & off about 3-4 times, before going to an error screen saying either "CPU Fan error, press f1 to enter bios settings." or "Overclocking failed, press f1 to enter bios settings". I did some searching and found it to be a CMOS battery issue, so I replaced the battery and the issues are still occuring. Every time I default bios settings it does the boot loop and I have to reset bios settings a 2nd time for it to post into windows. I stress tested with prime 95 for 5 hours to determine CPU, and memtest 86 for ram, no faults on either. I am entirely lost on what to do next. 6. Wow. If only I had the money for it. http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Computer-Corp-780TI-GAMING/dp/B00HPS4B3M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1413772471&sr=8-2&keywords=msi+780
  7. Gaming, music, videos, etc. Would like to have a nice audio set up overall. Would you suggest any mic that doesnt clip on to my shirt? (I'm not even sure that one clips on lol)
  8. I'm aware of that, I was just wondering what the best mic / headphone combo would be under $200 USD
  9. My Astro a40 headset broke, and I need a new one. I'm not sure what set of headphones to get, or if I should just get another a40 headset. I need a mic as well if it's not apart of the headset, any advice would be nice and under 200< would be better.
  10. I feel like my hard drive is failing due to the fact of things being laggy and sometimes being unresponsive and windows.exe being maxed at 50% usage when i wake my PC up sometimes. Anyone have the best program to use? Free please.
  11. Mountain Dew is my favorite soda. I love it, but if you have to travel, not worth it.
  12. So I recently purchased the Avermedia Live Gamer HD (the internal one), and every time I wake my PC up, the display's will flash endlessly between my two monitors. When I say flash, I mean my 2nd monitor, will have display for a second, then it'll turn off, while my main monitor gets no signal. The only way it'll get back to normal is if I unplug all the display's on the back of my video card and avermedia, and plug them back in a few times. Anyone know how to fix this?
