  1. I've now found videos with this "feature" enabled retroactively on 2+ year old videos. Its getting more likely that my claims are correct. Updated the OP.
  2. Summary A couple of months ago, YouTube started testing the waters with their "Premium enhanced bitrate" option on select videos, such as ones from late night tv shows like Stephen Colbert's; which actually just meant they lowered the bitrate for everybody but premium users on those videos. As far as I can tell, "1080p" videos with this "feature" enabled looks like they are 800p or lower. Thoughts It seems that premium only 4K was only the start, now even 1080p will be premium only, as its pointless to have a 1080p resolution with so low of a bitrate. Hopefully someone more knowledgable than me can analyse the situation further. It may be only for select regions for now(I'm from Turkey), I have no way to test currently. Update: The "feature" is being enabled retroactively, making the claims of this post more credible as it is less likely that youtube keeps masters of uploads instead of just their re-encoded versions. So they must be lowering the quality for free users instead of increasing it for premium users. Some videos with the "Feature" enabled: I've now found videos with this "feature" being enabled retroactively: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn8Ed7luPDA
  3. "i cant fail to notice"... you must be really fun at parties, assuming the worst out of people even on this innocous thing... i was going back and forth between qualities when i took the screenshot, NOT ACTUALLY A MORON.
  4. I've noticed a drop in quality recently, thought quality was stuck at lower resolution. Only to find out youtube paywalled "enhanced bitrate" which from what i can tell is just the regular youtube bitrate, but now paywalled. I think they lowered standard bitrate and but the regular one behind youtube premium. Because new "standard" 1080p doesnt even feel like it, its more like 720p-900p, bitrate is that low.
  5. So i have this old monitor, a 1280x1024 resolution vga monitor with built in speakers(like the ones you would have seen in computer labs in mid 2000s). I have been using this monitor as a secondary for years now; my main monitor is plugged to a Rx 580 using a hdmi to vga adapter, and this old one was plugged to the motherboard vga output. Here comes the bizzareness: I got a new motherboard and cpu(which doesnt have an igpu) so i plugged the old monitor also to rx 580 with a display port to vga adapter. And when i turn the system on, old monitor doesnt output but its power led blinks every 4 seconds and its speakers makes a pop sound(without the audio cable being connected). The pop and blinking doesnt go away even if i disconnect the vga cable once it starts, and only stops if i pull the monitors power plug. ALSO if the vga is still attached and the monitor is powered, everytime it pops the entire pc FREEZES for like a quarter of a second. and this goes away as soon as i unplug the vga cable. I switched my adapters around, tried different ports, but it doesnt matter, if i use any adapter(including displayport-to-vga, displayport-to-dvi-to-vga, hdmi-to-vga and hdmi-to-dvi-to-vga) to connect this old vga monitor to my rx 580 this bizzareness ensues. The monitor still works fine if i plug it to my old pc with the igpu. Cpu : i3 10100F Mobo: Asus H410M-K Gpu:Rx 580 Windows 10 64bit Some generic vga monitor.
  6. fb2/8 works fine. i dont have fb/8. my question is if fb2/8 would be compatible with the motherboard, if the motherboard showing support for fb/8 if compatiblity is somehow different at least it will be a weird anecdote.
  7. Hope you are rigth. i couldnt find any differences between them other than the number of modules but still wanted to check. already returned another motherboard due to compatiblity. (ben değildim hocam)
  8. İf a motherboard supports a double-sided ram, would it also support the single-sided version of the same ram? is there a chance that it migth not? Motherboard im plannig to buy: ASUS PRIME H410M-K Ram i already have: hx421c14fb2/8 (singlesided) Ram motherboard shows support for: hx421c14fb/8(doublesided) i checked both datasheets and didnt learn anything usefull but here they are: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX421C14FB2_8.pdf https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/HX421C14FB_8.pdf
  9. couldnt get it to post even with much newer ram. im returning both mobo and cpu. one of them being faulty was our best guess.
  10. Yeah I reseated all connections. I rebuilt my old configuration and did some testing, everything works fine with i3 6100+h110m. Guess I'll go to a pc repair shop tomorrow to test with their ram, as I couldnt to find a suitable beeper in the house.
  11. Well like I said, psu is working perfectly fine with my old mobo, just tested it. No speakers on mobo, but I just noticed it power cycles occasionally. And one time it turned itself on and off again repeatedly. But now it's back to normal, turning on but no post. I don't think a low end board like this would require more than 1 ram to post.
  12. i3 10100f and gigabyte h410m h Ram: hyperx fury 8gb 2133 hx421c14fb2/8 Gpu rx580 Psu corsair vs450 Cpu fans spin but no post. Psu ram and gpu is working normally when plugged into old mobo and cpu(i3 6100 and h110m k). What I've done so far: Removed everything one by one. Removed cmos battery. Tried other ram slot. Reseated cpu and checked all cables. Removed ram Tried running with only 4pin cpu power. Is there a way for me to test the new mobo and cpu without ram? Because right now I'm thinking maybe ram isn't compatible.
