  1. Are you sure it supports WS2812B? Is looks like it only supports their strips, although the information on it is quite vague.
  2. Well, I'll be driving standard WS2812B LEDs, nothing proprietary.
  3. Hi, I ran out of ARGB channels in my motherboard and I'm looking for an internal addressable RGB controller, preferably with at least 4 channels. The closest thing I could find was the discontinued one from ASUS, but there doesn't seem to be much choice now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Budget (including currency): $200 Country: Poland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: everything Other details: needs to be compatible with Aura Sync or Corsair iCUE
  4. Ok, got some progress - now I'm able to use hdmi out for sound from my graphics card. But, i only have Dolby Atmos for Headphones in Windows sound settings.
  5. Plugging the monitor in was one of my ideas, but my monitor doesn't support hdmi arc, so there was no point. I've also read of audio extraction, but I don't know if atmos will be supported then, since I think the hardware has to report its capabilities. Which would report then - the monitor or soundbar.
  6. NVidia control panel detects the soundbar but claims it's not a monitor with sound output, so it refuses to output anything. From what I've read, people have been asking them for audio only output for ages but no response. So I need something to fool it. I've read stuff about things called EDID emulators, but my knowledge of the topic is too small to be sure if that is even close to what I need.
  7. Actually Windows is capable of handling Atmos - all you need is a properly encoded audio stream. I have such, therefore testing is not an issue, especially since my soundbar can tell me what encoding is used. The issue is with getting the graphics card to actually output something, since it's also capable of outputting such streams.
  8. Hi, I have a Dolby Atmos capable soundbar, and I wish to connect it to my graphics card HDMI output, since Atmos is only supported this way. Unfortunately, Nvidia in all their wisdom, doesn't allow any sound output unless there's a monitor attached. Therefore I need to trick my graphics card into thinking my soundbar is a monitor. The question is - how can I do that? Is there any hardware capable of emulating a display and forwarding sound?
  9. The worst part is - it happens only when in Windows desktop. So pretty much all the time.
  10. Hi, Recently I noticed my computer my PC started emitting high-pitch noises in some situations. I've eliminated all mechanical sources, and it seems like the noise is coming from one of mu GPUs - a typical coil whine. The issue is - I've had the same two Titans for a year now and I've never had any problems. Could a GPU develop a coil whine over time on its own?
  11. Hi, I have a GA-Z170X Gaming 7 motherboard with USB 3.1 Type-C connector. I'm thinking of buying the MB169C+ portable monitor, but it requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode support. I cannot find any info if my motherboard supports it. Is there any kind of method of verifying it?
  12. The problem is, the particular header in question is voltage-controlled, with constant 100% PWM. I've already talked with a friend to produce a simple voltage control => PWM board with PSU powering the fans. But, I'm wondering if it's needed anyway. Max. power consumption during normal operation is safe for 4 fans in one header, but those startup peaks worry me.
  13. Hi, I'm wondering what is the safe fan load on a 10 and 12 watt mobo fan headers. We know fan motors draw more power during startup. The 4-pin PWM specification allows a fan to draw peak 2A at 13.2V on startup, with 1A spike lasting no longer than 1s - that gives us over 2x peak power draw. But that's ok - mobo headers are required to handle that. Things get more complicated when multiple fans are connected via a splitter to a single header. Anyone knows what the maximum safe power draw would be in such situation? Can I connect, for example, 4x2W fans?
  14. Hi, I'm wondering how to properly use the BP enhance fittings you can see here: http://www.bitspower.com.tw/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=155_165&products_id=3475 They have an inner and an outer o-ring, and I'm wondering if the tube should go through the inner one, or just push against it? Googling doesn't give a clear answer on that. Anyone has any experience with them?
