  1. Yeah most likely, definitely glad I fixed it. I was resorting to using my LTE on my phone (which gave me over 118Mbps on T-Mobile's LTE) due to the fact that my home network was so slow on this phone.
  2. Glad to say I have fixed the issue. Bit of a weird one, but under Connections > Wi-Fi > ADVANCED > Hotspot 2.0, make sure that's ticked OFF. I ticked it off, and instantly got 71Mbps down.
  3. Looks like 2.4GHz gave me a even worse result.. hmm
  4. Thanks -- fixed the text color. Yes, both phones shown in the picture are on the 5GHz network rather than 2.4GHz.
  5. I have my Galaxy S8 on hand since the 19th of April, and so far have had a total of 2 issues, one of which being the red tint issue. There's this other issue that I just stumbled across, and it's bothering the hell out of me. Sometimes I'd notice that the wifi symbol on the status bar would show an exclamation mark and the wifi would suddenly stop working. All I would do is move my phone a couple inches away and it'll start working again. I can't even watch a YouTube video without suddenly "losing" connection and having to move my phone a bit to resume video playback. I thought this was weird because my past phones has never had a wifi range issue. I decided to further diagnose the issue. Not only am I not getting a decent connection to the wifi network, the speeds I'm getting off my wifi network are horrendous! I took a comparison against my old phone, the Nexus 6P, and tried MULTIPLE speedtests (on the same server), all with the same kind of results. Extremely slow speeds on the S8 and faster on the 6P. (See Image Below) So I'm wondering, am I the only one that has this issue, or are there others out there who are experiencing this as well? Like seriously, what kind of madness is this? HUGE difference.. (I know 19mbps isn't the slowest but I was actually lucky to achieve that speed, usually it's lower than 10mbps.) Also, if you look closely at the picture, you can see the wifi symbol in the status bar has the exclamation mark!
  6. HTC Wildfire S HTC Radar iPhone 4S HTC One Sony Xperia Z2 HTC One A9 (Not sure why I kept getting HTC phones) Nexus 6P Samsung Galaxy S8 (Current)
  7. I tried LAN1, still not showing up in BIOS
  8. I'm following this, http://www.tyan.com/manuals/S7012_QR_v1_0.pdf Would LAN1 be the bottom right port?
  9. For some reason it's not giving me the option to set an IP in BIOS, just STATIC or DHCP
  10. I am currently interested in purchasing a used server off of eBay, and in the listing it specifies that the motherboard is the TYAN S7012 motherboard. I have never used TYAN or have ever heard of TYAN. Are they any good? Also, from what I see in the motherboard specification on TYAN's website (http://www.tyan.com/Motherboards_S7012_S7012GM4NR), it says that there is IPMI BMC onboard. However, I do not see a dedicated LAN port for IPMI on the motherboard. Do I need an additional part to get IPMI working? OR is it being shared through LAN1?
  11. Well I just wanted to give an update.. I just installed an OS and downloaded the IPMICFG utility. I'm following the tutorial for Supermicro, and everytime I run a command for IPMICFG, it just gives me "kcs_error_exit:" What do I do? The seller told me to update the firmware but I don't even know how since there are like no online tutorials? Could someone help?
  12. I suppose there's a possibility it could be faulty, I'll have to ask the seller about it and see if he can send me a replacement. Funny enough, I bought two of them and both of them do that, so possibly that's just how it is? Not too sure though. As for the firmware, the motherboard "technically" doesn't have a firmware for IPMI, in the link that you gave me, the motherboard is not listed in there either. I believe Supermicro X7 motherboards do not have IPMI built in, but rather has a 200pin IPMI slot for installing those AOC-SIMSO cards. I hope running the utility and setting up the IPs work? I'll give it a go and I'll update the thread, I really appreciate your response!
  13. Yeah definitely! I don't really get why setting it in BIOS is any different as well.. but well it's worth a shot. I'll give the tool a go and see how it turns out. Do you have any idea as to why the card messes with my BIOS? In the "Hardware Monitor" section of my servers, it's telling me that the system temperature is running at 255C, and that no fans are running, which is not true.
  14. Thank you for your response. I was following this tutorial, http://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/AOC-SIMSO.pdf . If you skip to page 15, you'll be brought to "Chapter 3 Software Application and Usage". It's telling me to use the program IPMICFG utility to set the "network settings and IP address", is that what I need to do? And do you know how I install it?
  15. Hello, I recently bought a used twin node 1U server off of eBay. Unfortunately, the server did not have IPMI built into them, HOWEVER, they do have a 200pin slot for IPMI AOC-SIMSO+. I picked up 2 of those IPMI cards and installed them into each server, however, I'm now having some issues. I installed it into the motherboard of my server, and I booted it up and now it's showing me "IPMI is first powered. System waits for its initialization and will reset once it's complete." So I go into BIOS, Advanced, and there is a new option called "IPMI". I see this, “IPMI Specification Version: (unknown)” “BMC Hardware/Firmware Version: (unknown)”. I click on "IPMI LAN Configuration", update my IPs, then change "Update LAN Settings" to "Yes", and I save and reset. Then the server boots back up, and goes back to the message that says, "IPMI is first powered. System waits for its initialization and will reset once it's complete." It just hangs there for a couple of minutes, then continues booting up. I check BIOS again and the IPs are not there anymore, they're reset back to what they originally were set to when I first installed the card. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Do I need an OS to fix the issue? Is there something I need to install? Also, when I installed the cards, my BIOS started being weird, such as telling me no fans were spinning, my temperature was at 255C, which is false. I remove the card and it goes back to normal, and tells me that the temperature is at 29C and all fans are spinning at 10,000rpm. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
