  2. hello everyone! So, i currently have a bit of a budget pc with the following hardware https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kDqpyf im thinking of just upgrading the i3 processor to this one Intel Core i5-4590 and perhaps buying an addition 8gb ram that will actually cost me 270 euros or just building a new pc and keep that as a secondary so if i do actually decide to build a new pc that is going to be for the long run and keep it for some years to come. i was thinking about this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jcqpyf this build in average is gonna cost me around 1500 euros which i would like if possible to be cut down but dont be exceeded at any cost my thinking on this subject is ill get a ryzen 1700 that could maximize the 8core/16threads on the long run along with some overclocking which is the reason behind why i chose the asrock taichi x370 since i saw it has great reviews and the x370 is better for overclocking and the gskill that use the samsung bdie which from what ive read on the internet it works better with the ryzen series my main purpose if i actually decide to build this pc is going to be gaming and some programs like cad, ansys fluent etc... and my question to you guys is...do i need to build a new pc? with my current pc for example i cant pay pubg since it gets laggy and i stuck on roofs until the game completely loads etc. should i just go with my first option of buying an i5 and some more ram and stick with it for a few more years? on the other hand if i do actually decide to build a new pc how do you guys find the one that i made? are there any overkills in it? could i lower the budget a bit by getting a cheaper mobo for example? (since here it coss 220euros) and almost every ram beggins at 200euros also! since i find it to be a bit expensive and i would like if possible to cut down 200euros to also buy an i5 so it ll be a win win situation! thank you very much in advance and im sorry for the incomplete post .(which i edited later)
  3. hey guys! im having a bit of an issue with excel..giving me huge troubles with my final thesis so im working on a program that does some calculations for me and returns them in this stracture : example: 1.00000e-03 3.41367e+00 2.00000e-03 2.24424e+00 3.00000e-03 2.07113e+00 4.00000e-03 2.16741e+00 5.00000e-03 2.32506e+00 6.00000e-03 2.49303e+00 7.00000e-03 2.65522e+00 8.00000e-03 2.80859e+00 9.00000e-03 2.95254e+00 1.00000e-02 3.08564e+00 1.10000e-02 3.20921e+00 1.20000e-02 3.32248e+00 but i want the data above to be seperated into 2 individual columns so i put them in excel . data>text to columns> etc and split them in two individual columns as i want them to be. the problem though is that it returns the wrong data.. 1,00E+02 3,41E+05 2,00E+02 2,24E+05 3,00E+02 2,07E+05 4,00E+02 2,17E+05 5,00E+02 2,33E+05 6,00E+02 2,49E+05 7,00E+02 2,66E+05 8,00E+02 2,81E+05 9,00E+02 2,95E+05 1,00E+03 3,09E+05 1,10E+03 3,21E+05 1,20E+03 3,32E+05 as you can see every (-) has become (+) which is wrong and unwanted.. no matter what i do, i even changed the definition of (.) and (,) in the process while spliting them, the result remains the same. can anyone help me? how can i fix this ? its extremely important that i fix this issue asap. thank you very much in advance!
  4. hey guys thank you for your replies! im using windows 7 sorry, i forgot to mention that. its just weird since the problems began a a few weeks ago and before that everything were so smooth. the problem occurrd on regural basis so it becomes extremely irritating. so you're saying that if i dont see any data transfer on task manager there shouldnt be any transfer at all right? is there any possibility that there could be data transfer without being visible on task manager?would i need another program to check that or something? edit: i went there and replaced my equipment and for now my connection seems pretty stable, even my phone works better lel, so... *fingers crossed* again thank you very much all for your replies
  5. hello again! I just wanted to inform you guys that i bought the evga 1060 6gb superclocked, and i couldnt be more happy! the card is a beast ! im playing overwatch at 60-70fps with all settings on epic! i never thought i could do that ! so thank you very much for your replies! cheers!
  6. hey guys! so here's my problem. i currently have a vdsl 30 Mbps 2.5Mbps download/upload getting on average 27mbps/2.2mbps which for me was perfect.(yeah i know in my country we're forced to pay more for upload) anyway.... a few weeks ago my connection began to be unstable meaning that from 27 it would plummet down to 6/10/15 mbps at random for no particular reason everytime i realised that something was going on, i closed every wireless connection and anything else that was connected to internet in order to check what the problem was... and the problem always seemed to be simply my network connection. I could not find any major data traffics that could potentialy cause any problem in such scale (note that whenever i reset my modem/rooter (however that thing is called :P) the problem always seems to fix its self. After talking with my provider they told me that my connection was fine and that everytime i had the problem was due to extreme data traffic repeating that it could be wireless traffic from a phone etc. (even after i made it clear to them that EVERYTHING (except my main pc whitch is connected via ethernet) was closed. Even the wireless button of my router was closed. so my question is..are they lying?(since their attitude was a bit bad avoiding every responsibility) do any of you guys know what could be wrong? is there anyway to track if there's any program, hell even virus/malware? , that could be responsible for my connections behaviour? thank you very much in advance!
  7. thank you very much for you reply. i think ill go and buy one then cheers!
  8. hey guys! so long story short my old graphics card saphire radeon hd 6790 died?! (it splits my screen in halfish with some trembling horizontal lines here and there and when i try to place the card on an other pc it crashes and doesnt even boot up) so since that one died i was thinking of buying an evga 1060 and i wanted to ask if ill have any bottleneck situation on my pc. here are the specs MOBA : gigabyte b85-hd3 CPU : i3-4330 RAM: 2x4 gb corsair vengeance PSU: corsair RM750 or GS700 GPU: ??? my idea is that in the near future ill upgrade my pc maybe buy an i7 and 8gb more ram and maybe if absolutely necessary replace my moba also. therefore, since im in need for a graphics card, that i would like to keep and not having to spend more money for a new one later on, i came to the conclusion that maybe a 1060 would be a good option. an other question id like to ask is what is the difference between the 3gb and the 6gb one, is it worth the 50 extra bucks? what is your guys opinion? thanks in advance
  9. thank you very much for your replies i fixed it
  10. hello everyone! long story short when i was younger i build a pc ( you dont say...) the gpu and ssd were upgraded because my old cpu got burned and my hdd had to be replaced with an ssd at some point (6months ago ) this is my current setup . mobo intel dx48bt2 cpu intel core 2 quad q9450 @ 2.66ghz ram ocz hyper-x ddr3 1333mhz 2x2gb gpu sapphire radeon hd6790 ssd samsung evo 850 240 gb this is my "awesome" pc that keeps me company for at least 8 years now here's the deal though. when i build the pc i was young and never really knew anything about pc parts i just bought what seemed to be better and faster (oh higher speed that must be good ) dont judge me i was young and innocent now im trying to learn a bit more about pc and i came to some discrepancies between my ram's specs and cpu-z results my ram specs should have had been DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Timing 6-5-5-18 Cas Latency 6 Voltage 1.85V but cpu-z is showing me the following http://prntscr.com/azhkw9 http://prntscr.com/azhl2d http://prntscr.com/azhl6w what exaclty is going on? i read somewhere that thefrequency that im reading is actually the double amount for example 533x2 but still 533x2=1066 which is diffrent from 1333 also the timmings seem a bit off can someone please explain to me what these numbers mean? is something wrong? can i fix it? how can i make my ram opperate at the specs that the manufacturer gave me? thank you very much in advance any information will be very helpful as it will help me learn more things about pc sorry for the long post and perhaps my bad english
