  1. I'm wondering what monitor to get... 1440p is too expensive, so I'm sticking with 1080p. I'd like something with thin bezels. If I'm not going to game, so does the monitor have to be IPS? I'll get one monitor now and I'll wait maybe a month or two before getting more.
  2. What about a 840 EVO? I've heard they're quite good
  3. Thanks guys! I really like this forum, the feedback is great. I'll edit the build and post an updated version probably tomorrow.
  4. I plan on using around 13 browser tabs with one trading application. I'm shooting for high volatility stocks.
  5. Yeah, I also thought that power supply was overkill, but are those CX500 reliable?
  6. Hi there! I've recently gotten into day trading and I'd like to build myself a new pc. I won't be gaming at all on this computer, it will purely be used for trading. I plan on running 3 to 4 monitors on this computer. I already own a case and cpu cooler, so I don't need to incorporate those components into the budget. My budget is about 800$-1000$ not including monitors. By the way, I live in Canada. This is what I have so far, any feedback is appreciated. I'm not sure which GPU to go with.... 7. I haven't been gaming for the past few months because I can't seem to be able to find a fun game. Any recommendations?
  8. Dark Souls lets you choose your own adventure and how you want to progress throughout the game. It doesn't hold your hand and walk you through it. You are rewarded for exploring and there is a lot of trial and error. The game isn't scripted like most of the games that have been coming out. Also, the game is a mess if you play it with a keyboard, it's meant to be played with a controller. Dark Souls is honestly one of my favorite games of all time, even though it was frustrating at times.
  9. Never heard of that CPU cooler...
  10. I hope the cards launch earlier than that, lots of games are coming out soon and I want to be able to max them out
  11. The Corsair AF series are pretty good, I got the silent editions Noctua's are great, but damn are they ugly
  12. I'd love to game at 1440p, but monitors are still way too expensive. I'm 16 lol
  13. Anyone have an idea of when the 800 series is launching?
  14. I agree, but I still want to wait and see an Asus R9 290 with their Direct CU II cooler. The price to performance of the 290 is outstanding, but the card is noisy and runs too hot
  15. 1080p for now, 1440p monitors are still too expensive
