  1. I got my Switch on Friday and I've just noticed that the dock is making a horrid whining noise when the Switch is plugged in. Oddly enough this whine stops when the top USB port on the side is charging something (like my phone). Could this be an issue with the power supply or with the dock itself? Many Thanks for any help EDIT: So the USB thing was probably incorrect; it still whines regardless
  2. So I'm in the market for a good looking case with room for my next build and I'm a little worried about RAM Clearance when using a 280MM Radiator installed in the top. The Cooler I have is the Corsair H115I RGB Pro XT and the RAM I want is a Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 4 x 8GB kit. I've been doing a little looking, and the only builds I could find on PCPartPicker either used LPX RAM or a 240mm rad, which had me worried. Does anyone have a similar config? Will the cooler fit in the top space? I don't really want to install it in the front because of the size of the GPU (assuming I can even get the GPU I want.) Many thanks
  3. From what I can tell, the new Strix coolers are not too dissimilar from the 10-series coolers, and those are pretty spectacular; great cooling with very little noise and a sleek black design. For an extra $20 I would agree that that is the best card of the two
  4. So it is likely to work? Cool, thanks for the info
  5. So I'm looking to upgrade from my old Toshiba laptop, to a fancy "new" HP Pavilion 15-bc499na. The specs are nice, and it's pretty perfect for what I need, but there's an issue. I upgraded my Toshiba to have a new 480GB SSD, which holds all of my work and projects; stuff I don't want to loose. When I installed it, I gave it a fresh copy of Windows 10, and began storing everything. My question is this; can I remove the HDD from the new laptop and just plug my old one into it, without having to do a backup and restore, and saves me a lot of hassle. I understand that it will need to do a lot of driver updates, but will it stay (relatively) as I left it on the old laptop? Thanks in advance
  6. Agreed here, the 1080Ti is still an incredible card, and prices on them are dropping. If you need a new GPU now, then go for the 1080Ti
  7. If you do not care for Ray-Tracing then do not bother with the RTX Line. They are priced high on a feature that isn't widely used in games and that halves FPS. There are rumours going around of an 1100 series of GPUs that are similar in spec to the RTX line but lacks the Ray-Tracing feature, they are also said to cost less than the 2000 series.
  8. The new module works, as the Laptop boots fine, it just shows as 4Gb on everything. Also I am unsure of how to reset the BIOS. Also the BIOS does not allow for the clock speed of the RAM to be changed, nor does it show the clock speed
  9. Could it be a BIOS Issue? I've found that the latest version is 5.10-WIN_s
  10. No, I'm using 64 Bit, but the BIOS only shows 4GB as well. I made a mistake when typing the post, sorry
  11. I recently bought new RAM for my Laptop, upgrading from 4 to 8 GB. The speed of both modules are identical, and the Laptop I am using is a Toshiba Satellite c50-b-13N. For some reason, the PC only picks up 4GB of RAM, not 8. The BIOS also thinks that the RAM is 4GB, despite the module saying that it is 8GB. I've also checked and found that the laptop should be compatible with an 8GB module and that the Celeron N2830 does support memory up to 8GB at 1333 MHz (which this RAM is running at). Another odd thing of note is that Task Manager is showing that only one of two slots have been used, despite the fact that this laptop only has the one slot, and that this is occupied by a RAM module of 4GB. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: The BIOS version is 1.70 if that helps. EDIT 2: Mistake on what the BIOS reads, the BIOS only reads 4GB. My bad EDIT 3: Updated the BIOS to 5.10, problem still persists but now the RAM is running at 1600MHz (which should not be possible as the max the N2830 can support is 1333MHz)
  12. By the end of this year I hope to have a PC that can run VR, but my question is this; is the HTC Vive worth the £550 price tag in its current for? I'd like to know your opinions on this question, and some of the games you find most fun to play with the VR headset. Personally, Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades looks pretty epic, but what are your views?
  13. Thank you! That's exactly what I needed. Many thanks!
  14. Tried, Google Chrome doesn't have anything I can work with, and the PCs at School don't have any other browser. Believe me, I'm only using IE out of necessity
