  7. i watched a youtube vid he put it in AHCI, so i followed
  8. at the moment, i have removed the USB, so boot sequence reads "UEFI: Samsung SSD 960EVO 250GB, Partition 2" when i did have the usb in, i made sure it was not the 1st boot sequence. (also when windows was installed and it restarted whilst the boost usb was plugged in, it just booted to the windows installer page again, so i had to remove it)
  9. in SATA operation, there is only 3 options 1. Disabled 2. AHCI 3. RAID On
  10. thank you for replying i have tried installing windows again, ive even tried creating a bootable USB again and yes - i installed windows and usually afterwards it should boot to the initial windows setup page, but instead, the laptop says it cannot detect SSD, i may try creating another boot USB drive if i put the old SSD in (default one) it is still able to load windows properly - if that helps aat all
  11. hello, i have just recevied my xps 13 FHD 9360 today and i bought a samsung 960 EVO 250g to replace i created a boot usb using the windows tool updated the bios used the usb to install windows onto my ssd HOWEVER, the windows installer restarts my laptop and now the laptop cannot detect bootable device - even though the SSD shows up on the BIOS - a DELL SUpportAssist page shows up with product name, system BIOS version, Service Tag and ePSA, then it say " no bootable devices found" (the windows installer was only able to detect the SSD if i changed the SSD settings to AHCI from RAID) please help thanks
  12. does single sided or double sided SSDs matter? thanks
  13. hello, just wondering for the XPS 13 2015 FHD model , which SSD type can i replace the stock one with. is there a specific model (single sided/double sided SSD - does it matter?) and size limit (supports 512gb?)
  14. i will try that soon. but i have since plugged the drive into another sata port and has been running smoothly. if it does happen again, i will try your suggestions. thanks all for helping
  15. i have a macbook air 2013 and i have recently changed to using windows on bootcamp. however, one problem i am encoutering is the keyboard backlight keeps turning on itself. i have downloaded power manager assistant, which doesnt really help as i need to keep toggling the light to turn it off. are there any known fixes to this problem? thanks in advance note: i am in a very well lit area, so any ambient auto turn on light is highly unlikely
  16. just booted up after a crash. on the windows home screen it has a box saying there was a problem starting C:\windows\system32\nvspcap64.dll the specified module could not be found i dont usually see this, maybe it will contribute to the crashing i am trying to get bluescreenview, but my comp is freezing again so imma haveto wait
  17. i will try to get code: the pc boots, but i usually have to wait several hours before everything runs normally. usually if it BSODs and i restart again, straight away, it will freeze
  18. ive recently had to change harddrives to another computer. the new harddrive originally had nvidia drives on it. but my other computer has a radeon graphics card. so ihad installed radeon drives to the new harddrve problem is: the computer runs for a while, but very frequently everything just freezes, then everything is not responding and then BSOD. upon reboot, most of the time it says "no boot drive detected" or some error that prevents me from booting. question is: would having nvidia and radeon drivers cause crashing? or is it other software. because i havent really installed anything new on the harddrive and it was working fine until i changed the harddrive to the new computer setup some errors include : "disk read error, press crt alt delete" , freezing on the boot logo, no boot device detected, windows not responding -> BSOD thanks, if anyone can help
  19. i was just wondering how to completely remove microsoft office (any any associated files) so that the activation wizard does not pop up everytime i open word, excel.etc i tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesnt seem to work. i was thinking that it had something to do with bios level stuff (im not very familiar with that)
  20. hi, i have to move somewhere else to live, and currently i have a corsair obsidian 750d. i am taking a plane and i need to transport my computer and im looking to do so without any additional costs, ie. avoid having my system transported separately, due to costs and also potentially damaging components (i have about 40kg of luggage space in total) im not sure if the case itself will fit into any suitcase so im wondering if anyone knows whether i can fully disassemble the case, into smaller pieces for easier transport.
  21. i meant slower as in when charging the note 4, i tried both the cables with 4 and 5 pins. so when using the cable with 4 pins, it was seemingly slower, than when i used the cable with 5 pins, but both used to charge the note 4
  22. yes the micro usb one so heres the thing, im using the adaptive fast charge unit that came with the phone. but i tried using both cables (4 pin and 5 pin one) (adaptive fast charge says output: 1.67A or 2A) would it/should it make a difference if i use a 4/5 pin cable?
  23. i recently got a samsung galaxy note 4 and tab s. however, when i was charging the devices, using the new included cable, it seemed to be a bit slow. upon examing the number of pins on the end of the cable which plugs into the phone, i noticed that there are only 4 pins. there were also 4 pins on the 2nd new cable. but when i compared it to the cable of my old phone (galaxy s3), i noticed that there were 5 pins, and the charging speed was seemingly faster. the question is, is 4 pins standard, or is there supposed to be 5 pins and both cables from the note 4 and tab s were defective thanks.
  24. i saw though, on some review websites, they said their idle temps were about 30 even sub 30. thats why i was a bit concerned. thanks alot though
