  1. Does anyone have a link to the usb cabling they used in the video? (the 50ft one). I can't seem to find it anywhere...
  2. Sorry I don't quite understand. So you are saying yo u switched your processor out with another ryzen one and it still giving you the wrong temperatures?
  3. Just joining in on the band wagon. Has there been any sort of fix for the invalid reading? Also are we 100% sure the reading is invalid? Also would like to note that the temperature looks fine in the bios and the Asus software for overclocking seems to be read the CPU temperature and not the CPU diode temperature. I can't open Ryzen Master and check as it doesn't work on Windows Sever 2016 sadly ? I'm running Ryzen 7 2700x
  4. could you link me to the specific one you are talking about?
  5. Thanks, so is this the one you are talking about? http://www.corsair.com/en-au/air-series-af120-quiet-edition-high-airflow-120mm-fan-twin-pack If not, can you link me please
  6. Hey guys, so I have narrowed it down to Corsair as they are the cheapest for me in my area. (Would like noctua, but they are 2 and 1/2 the price :'( ) First off here is my build at the moment (not even close to being finished at the moment so don't judge) http://imgur.com/a/2fxUu (Ignore the kiddy drawer, and the Hackintosh) and here is a shitty sketchup picture of where I will be putting the fans http://i.imgur.com/3QsRedO.png and that will be on either side (Sorry for the bad photos) So I need to decide between the Corsair Air Series SP120 and the CORSAIR FAN AF120 (quiet edition, high pressure etc) I will be having a total of 4 fans, 2 either side and all 4 will be 120mm
  7. So installing it directly on the PC fixed the issue
  8. Ok I will reinstall now and let you know how I got on
  9. The motherboard is a ASUS P5WD2 premium which is not UEFI. The computer I originally installed the OS on is UEFI could that be the problem?
  10. that shouldn't make a difference should it? since the only thing that is changing is the hardware around it, nothing is changing on the actual SSD
  11. can you explain why installing it on the old PC will make it work? and why it has worked on the other computers I have tried it on?
  12. yeah I did, but like I said, when I tested this drive on 4 other computers, it worked. When I put it back into this old computer it didnt
  13. Hello so I got a SSD for my old system, its a Samsung 850 EVO 250gb and I plugged it into my current computer to install the OS and get everything copied onto it. Once I finished I put it into the old system where it was going to live and I couldn't get it to boot. Here is a quick video showing whats happening So after it didn't boot, I wanted to make sure nothing was corrupt so I tried it in 2 other PC's and a laptop and it all worked fine, then when I put it back into the old PC it still wouldn't boot (stuck on the blinking underscore) I then flashed the BIOS to the latest version but that didn't help or make a difference. I have got it set to AHCI in the bios, but there are a bunch of other setting I am not sure about so I let them all on auto. I have seen someone use this mobo with a SSD Proof here (Not my video) https://youtu.be/NFtqcDlfFXA?t=4s Oh yeah and the motherboard I am using is: ASUS P5WD2 premium on BIOS 0806 Any help getting this up and going would be great
  14. Yea I got all my water cooling components from there P. S check my custom build out
  15. Haha I know that's why when I find a cheaper price I take it to them and they drop the price for me
  16. No I haven't, do you know if there is going to be a black Friday sale?
  17. Hey mate I'm looking on price spy http://pricespy.co.nz for the cheapest price and then I normally take the cheapest price I find to PB tech and they will lower there price to the one I find
  18. Na I chopped it out of this P.S remember once its done, the entire bay (Not including the frame) Will be powder coated black
  19. Got some of my water cooling components awsell now
  20. Ok Here is the next update with a flood of pictures Images: http://imgur.com/a/byjQz In these images I have made the cutout in the back of the plate for the rear IO. The motherboards shown in the pictures or just some old ones I had sitting round to check if it would all fit Here is a quick shitty Photoshop of what I need to do next
  21. Just uploading more pics now, as im getting this thread up to speed And I have worked out were all the fans will go, Will post a picture of that soon
  22. Dark D3sk Hey so this is my first scratch build i am doing. One day I was looking at my old build an I thought to myself well this is nice and everything but it look generic compared to most of the computer cases these days so I thought that I sould build myself a new case for my computer. I was original inspired by Peter and his L3p D3sk, so that what I am planning to build, A desk like his but I wanted it to be better (as in looks) so I opened up Google Sketch up and started making the first designs in there and this is what I came up with (P.S Started this build about 2 years ago but have been held up with schooling and exams. But since I have just finished school, I will be able to finally finish the desk build. So this is why i'm finally posting it over here ) Now I have got started with the build by getting the materials and bending the bay for the desk So is finally got around to making the frame and bay for the desk, still LOADS to go before the desk is finished ~Update~ so i finally got the false bottom cut for my desk now, there is still a lot i have to do with the false bottom More to come!
  23. But do you think that a 120 will be big enough to hold the things I specified? 120gb = $104 NZD ($82 USD) 250gb = $175 NZD ($138 USD)
  24. First off sorry if this is in the wrong place because this is my first time posing in this forum.. We'll anyway, I'm looking at upgrading to an SSD. Right now I'm looking at the 840 Evo 120gb What I will have on the SSD? Battlefield 4 Adobe CS6 visual studio And of course my OS , the rest of my stuff I will have on my 2tb. So do you think the 120gb will be able to hold all that stuff? Or should I go up to the 250gb? 120gb = $104 NZD 250gb = $175 NZD And do you think the Evo is a good choice? Thank
