I live with my dad actually and he's aware of the issue but doesn't want to do anything with it

I've had plenty of lightning nearby and nothing has happened yet. Even with ground though I doubt it would protect against a direct strike

Not sure if I've had any of those but don't the power usually spike when power is restored? And would the ups save the PC at least? I also have a PS5 plugged into a surge protector which has been fine as well

ive been using it for a year or more and has worked fine even took over when we had a power outage. and our electric water heater is in a different room that is grounded.

and it is literally just my room and the bathroom the rest of the house and basement is grounded and i can't afford a electrician atm. my pc case has never shocked me at all thankfully

so my room is ungrounded and atm i have my pc plugged into a UPS which has surge protection built in. i'm just wondering if this could damage my pc in any way because at this present time since i don't own the house i have no way to get my room grounded or even get a electrician here to even diagnose why my room isn't grounded. i have 3 prong outlets and to the eye everything looks good. reason i got alerted to this was the UPS building site wiring fault light was lit up and i used a tester to verify that no outlet in my room is grounded. i live in a basement and literally only my room and the bath room are the only outlets ungrounded everything else grounded but only way i would be able to use a different outlet would be an extension cord and i have read those are unsafe to use with a ups. probably been using my pc for a around a year before realizing this and everything has been fine so far .

Any ideas of what I could do? Atm I have it underclocked to 1755 mhz and undervolted to 800mv just to keep it under 80c

i figured out what was causing it, my front glass and dust filter restrict to much airflow. as soon as i remove them my card drops to 74-75c

I was considering getting the 011 dynamic but someone told me they had issues getting a 3080 Ti FTW3 in it. Also I got temps down to 74c with an undervolt and my front glass and dust filter removed

thats the thing i cant get a bigger case on my desk as its not very big, and its the only place i can place it. i have about 19.5 inches of desk space for lenght and with my tv being a 65 my case actually goes above my tv.

front fans are intake back fan is exhaust and radiator fans are exhaust

not enough space to do that as with the rad it was to close to the gpu. only thing besides underclocking by -150 to -200 that works is taking off side panel or capping fps in games at my monitors refresh rate

i had that with a 360 rad and it was worse

its a fresh install, i just upgraded to the 12700K so everything is fresh. Windows 11 Pro i have a custom created fan curve via MSi afterburner

so i have a EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and at times in final fantasy XIV it can get to 87c even with fans at full speed and i even tried undervolting the card and that only brought the card down to 80-81c.. Currently have the corsair 570x Crystal with a top mounted 240MM aio and have all ML pro series fans. anything i could do to help with temps?

id honestly go 13 pro for the promotion display at least

i had the corsair 850RMx as well and i ended up replacing it with a EVGA model when i got my 3080 FTW3 due to there not being enough pcie powers on the psu for 3 cables just to be on the safe side.

i would pin it on the card at this point, my 3080 worked straight away when i installed it. unless anyone else chimes in with a solution i would consider RMA

do you have a friend who could try it in there pc? have you tried all ports even hdmi?

does the gpu led even turn on at all? if not this could be a DoA 3080 unfortunately, hopefully im wrong but after reading through the comments and what you have tried thats what it could be. do you have another pc to try the 3080 in?
