So I have been tasked with getting a relative a new pc, she is older and it needs to be windows 7. For simplicity I bought a new i3 Acer TC-780 and cant get the installer for win7 to work. I have a real iso and put it on the flash drive with rufus and it even works on other computers but on this acer it will load and say that windows failed to start (the installer will) with a 0xc000000d error and says it cant find boot config data. It will let me boot even with the error but the win7 start animation plays then it freezes.(I let it sit for over an hr) The pc I am using now does have extra sata ports open so I could put its drive in mine, install it, then swap it back but that would be a pain with the way its mounted inside the Acer. Is there any other way I can go about this? Something im missing?
OS: Windows 7 (I wish)
Mobo: The acer one it came with. (TC-780)
Cpu: i3 7100
Ram: 8 GB of generic
HDD: 1TB Seagate
PSU: Acer generic
Hair: Gone
Thanks for help.
