  1. I ended up having to lower my GPU clock (without fine tuning) to 70/400+ to get stable in video games. Also, I put my CPU back up to 4.4ghz stable. I'll re-bench today and post so anyone who was in my position can see.
  2. Yeah. Judging by everyone's comments, We're all around the same mark. It's a huge relief because I got a little scared for a minute there. Haha.
  3. Yeah I should OC, my CPU again. I think i'll get it back to where I was last time. I just needed a big chunk of time to stress test.
  4. Thanks for the insight. Yeah I had it OC'd before, but the reformat and BIOS upgrade got rid of all my settings So you're sure I've got nothing to worry about? Just want to make sure I'm taking advantage of the card and that there's no problems because I'm gonna be putting it under water soon.
  5. Hey Guys, To start off with the basic, specs are: Windows 10 Pro Asus Maximus VI Formula Intel i7 4770-K (not oc'd right now, but was at 4.4ghz) MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X (see below) Corsair Dominator 16GB 1866 (not oc) SAMSUNG 840 SSD 500GB Corsair AXi 1200 So the short of it is that I just bought an MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X and in order to use it, I had to reformat my SSD because of too many issues post windows 10 upgrade. All my drivers are up to date including the newest BIOS for my mobo and the gpu. The current OC on my card is and is running stable benchmarks atm: However, every benchmark I'm seeing from reviewers and on posts shows around a 17k score in fire strike on an FE card. I'm honestly not sure if I've missed something here or something is wrong with my card? I'm hoping that it's something on my end that's fixable, because I'd hate to have to RMA the card. Any thoughts guys? I'm really curious as to what's going on, if there is any issue at all.
  6. I definitely upgraded from Windows 7 (regretfully) probably late last year or early this year.
  7. My rig is stuck on Windows 10 version 10 (build 10240). I was troubleshooting for about 7 hours last night, but I couldn't find any way to get my Windows 10 build to update from 10240 to 10586 without reformatting my SSD. I bought a new MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X that I can't use until this is resolved. Specs: Windows 10 Pro ver 10 build 10240 Asus Maximus VI Formula Intel i7 4770-K MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X Corsair Dominator 16GB 1866 SAMSUNG 840 SSD 500GB Corsair AXi 1200 Just to knock the basics out of the way, it's definitely powered on and in a functioning PCI-E lane (I had a 770 and 660 in there recently) and DEFINITELY generating heat. It's also in a PCI-E 16x lane. I've tried: 1) Updating my BIOS, chipset, bluetooth, wi-fi, lan, etc drivers (updating Windows fails) 2) Running sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt (it completes successfully and says there are no corrupted files and updating Windows fails) 3) Running Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and then rerunning sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt (it completed successfully without any issues and updating Windows fails) 4) Using a script from Rahul that runs in an elevated command prompt to find and clear the Windows Update history/cache (it completed successfully without any issues and updating Windows fails) 5) Creating an ISO of Windows 10 build 1511 to install while keeping all files (updating Windows fails) 6) Using Windows Media Creation Tool to do the same thing (updating Windows fails) I went to the following for my Windows 10 resources: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/techbench No matter what I do, I can't get Windows 10 to update to build version 1511 I can't update, so I can't use my new MSI Gaming X 1070. Anyone got any ideas?
  8. i did set it manually to 1.5v and 1333 mhz. is there some special way to do it that i'm unaware of? the drop down menu with the different mhz settings isn't considered manual?
  9. i tried doing everything @ stock settings overnight. it was stable. i'm not really sure if that's important to know but yeah. i did it with 2 sticks of ram. i just tried to let a test run while i was out doing something cpu clock @ 44 cpu voltage @ 1.3v vccin @ 1.9v (i believe in asus uefi this is eventual input voltage?) set ram to 1333 mhz @ 1.5v ring bus @ 44 @ 1.3v 2 sticks of ram pc froze in a 30m of burn time. i hope this is just something i'm doing wrong like an idiot and not a gutter cpu.
  10. okay. i'll run a burn test before i go to sleep soon with 2 sticks in. you recommend actually doing an oc that way or just stock?
  11. btw my build is running a swiftech mcp-655 with 960mm or radiator real-estate with corsair sp120's @ 2200 rpms down the line. Cooling shouldn't be an issue.
  12. I did bring the ram to 1333 @ 1.5v i did not try to OC with 2 sticks. And I am on the latest official BIOS.
  13. Corsair 900D Intel Core i7-4770k EVGA GTX 770 SC W/ ACX Cooler x 2 ASUS MAXIMUS VI Formula Seagate Barracuda 2TB Corsair AXi AX1200i Samsung 840 500GB G. Skill ripjaw 1600 16GB I've tried following this guide to the letter (new to OC'ing) Even putting my 4770k at a low clock like 4.0Ghz @ 1.35v with all the other shit turned down gives me BSOD's in IETU and AIDA 64 burn tests. My cooling is beyond adequate with 0 temp throttle (custom liquid loop). I don't know what to do here. Is my memory possibly unstable? It's beyond frustrating to go balls deep on a build and not be able to find stability.
