This doesn’t sound like a memory issue to me, though I may be wrong.

    1) Are there any logs in event viewer around the time the computer restarts each time?
    2) Do you get the standard windows restart screen, or does the screen just go black?

    Yes. the logs is image.png.047c5e98b0be668875027c60115da43b.png

and Windows just goes black and takes a restart.

Just to clarify, your computer is restarting when you try to enable XMP correct?

Could you provide the specs of your CPU, Motherboard, and Memory?

You may be trying to run the memory faster than it is rated for, on ASUS boards (and likely others I just don’t use them enough), there are multiple XMP levels to choose from.

I recommend running OCCT, it tends to find issues that windows memory diagnosis might miss.

CompuTer restart is not just after enabling XMP, restart takes randomly, probably while watching a YouTube video or just net surfing. Or Maybe while playing (very rare)

    Mobo: Gigabyte B450M S2H

    3600x

    32GB 3200mhz Gskill Ripwajs

    RX 6600xt

run the OCCT and found no error.

Have you tried to update your Mobo's BIOS?
B450M has been around for quite some time, BIOS update may improve the XMP RAM stability

I updated it. Now, after reading your writing, I am thinking, can it be possible that the BIOS update made the mess?

  4. What are the causes of some RAM sticks (dual RAM) not supporting XMP profile out of the box? What would be the reason, RAM sticks itself or the Motherboard, Processor?

In my B450m S2H mobo, I was using 2400mhz RAM which supports XMP without any issues, but now 3200Mhz RAM doesn't support XMP. When I enable it, sometimes the PC takes a restart. At first I thick that would be the cause of any problem in my GPU, but when I started to dig for the issues, the pointer headed towards the RAM, as when I disabled XMP, the problem was gone.

Now wondering how can I use my RAM in 3200Mhz, as now running in 2666Mhz. Who is the culprit, bad RAM sticks, 4 yrs old mobo or the 3600x ryzen Processor?

Are you at stock settings ? if not, try it for a while (Ram too)

How is the health of your SSDs ? use CrystalDiskInfo for example

You could replug and reseat everything

Is your system up to date ? windows, bios, driver

    trying

  6. I have been facing this problem (sudden PC restart) for quite some time. The problem of restarting takes place all of a sudden and not in an organized order. Most of the time during light works or in idle mode. Not during playing games or working on Premier Pro or After Effects. After taking a restart, the PC slows a msg (default performance tuning settings have been restored due to an unexpected system failure).

What should I do to resolve this problem?

    My PC specs:

    R5 3600x

    B450 Asus Mobo

32 GB DDR4 RAM (Run memtest and found no error)

    Powercolor RX 6600xt

    Corsair TX650 PSU

    3 HDD

    2 SSD

Is it the same no matter which monitor is the one you're using? Since you said with one monitor it's not a problem

Just found out that if I use only one monitor, the problem disappears. No problem either one of the monitor while connecting with one monitor.

  8. When I use my 2 monitors with my RX 6600xt, the PC takes a restart all of a sudden. I notice the Memory clock runs at full speed even though I don't do anything. What could be the solution? When I use one monitor, the mem clock doesn't hit its pick speed at all times. I am using the latest version of Adrenalin software.

This can be caused by a number of possible issues. Before coming to the conclusion of a faulty CPU, let's test the RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic and see if you can update the BIOS.

    No error

  10. I also thought about a faulty CPU (as 3600 has some records). But, this is also related to AMD drivers, I guess. Because the issues mostly happen when I update the driver of the GPU (with some edition of drivers), I guess.

  11. My Rigs:

    R5 3600x

    RX 660xt

32 GB Gskill Ripjaws V RAM
    Samsung 970 EVO plus (512GB)

    3 HHD

    650 TX PSU from corsair.

I am facing this problem sometimes, that my PC all of a sudden takes a restart. Most at watching any video. I have attached the record of the event here.

    PLS help me.

  12. Hello,

    I am using this rig-

    CPU: 3600x

    GPU: RX 6600xt

    Windows 10 (22H2) Build 19045.3758)

However, I am unable to enable the Hardware Acceselaration from the Graphics settings. The option is not even there.

    What should I do?

Nope do NOT get a 1080p 27 inch the pixel density is low and stuff flat out looks bad when gaming.

The vg249qa is a cheaper version with a NON adjustable stand.

So say no you want the ORIGINAL vg249q as that is what you paid for not a worse version of it and not a bigger one that is worse.

What your thoughts on gigabyte 24f 2 or BenQ ex240,if I made a switch as 249q is out of stock.
