  1. I'm posting about a close friend's PC, he has a i7 7700, Gigabyte B250 D3h motherboard, Hyperx 8gb ddr4 RAM, Cooler Master 500W Power supply. The PC shuts down within 1-2 seconds of power on. The CPU fan spins up but immediately loses power. However, sometimes the PC boots into bios and runs fine. I cant think of a fix to this. We tried with multiple power supplys (known to be working) but problem stays the same. This is really cutting his workflow into bits and we would appreciate any and all help. Thanks!!
  2. The fan always used to spun when the laptop was booted, it's a 3-4 year old laptop, so it doesn't have the no noise system that modern Ultrabooks have got.
  3. The fan spins when connected to a lipo battery of 3.7ish volts. It works just fine like that. I did notice that one of the temperature on CPU-Z HWMONITOR (motherboard>pchz something like that) shows 124° C which is weird. Also, SpeedFan doesn't detect any CPU Fan at all.
  4. I have a HP ProBook 440 G1 laptop, and the cooling fan isnt working. It boots into windows and everything, but the fan doesn't spin. It only spins for a split second and then cuts off (as if it got power only for a split second). I have disassembled the laptop carefully (it still works) and I want to know what the issue is. Is there a way for me to test the fan outside of the system? What is the reason the fan is behaving like this? Any and all help is appreciated, Thanks!
  5. Where is it? Please send a screenshot of where this option is.
  6. I OCd my ryzen 5 1500X to 3.7 GHz accidentally through Ryzen Master. I have not put the system under any load thereafter. I can't seem to go back to the default non overclocked settings now. I'm stuck with the overclock and I'm worried about the CPU life and I just want to go back to the default factory config. I tried resetting the bios but it didn't work.
  7. I'm running windows 10 build number 10240. I cant find any graphics drivers for my Zotac 1050 Ti Mini. All of them are incompatible according to a dialog box that pops up during installation.
  8. UPDATE: I talked to the service person for msi India and that awesome man said he'd clean it for me. Fingers crossed for now. I still need to clean the CPU pins though. I have to get through to Cooler Master for the terrible paste quality. But they do not have any direct email addresses listed. Help?
  9. I checked and the thermal paste was terrible. It split into a thin oily, runny substance that went into the motherboard. That technically makes it the thermal paste manufacturer's fault. I followed the perfect procedure for application like the pro's demonstrate. And yet it all went to hell.
  10. Will warranty cover this? (If I clean it enough to not be noticable) and I ask for a replacement?
  11. I put the thermal paste on and it kind of split into a runny stuff and gel stuff. Also, can you please tell me if the paste is conducting? Thanks for the reply, really helped.
  12. I got a brand new Ryzen 5 system as my first system. When replacing the factory thermal paste with Cooler Master Mastergel (MGX-ZOSW-N15M-R1) it went into the motherboard socket and on the CPU pins. And now I must clean it because it's expensive and I don't want to get grounded. How do I do it? Please help me I am freaking out.
  13. Will a 3200 MHz 8GB single stick work at high frequencies [3000-3200] on MSI B350M PRO-VDH motherboard without tweaking the XMP in the bios?
  14. Planning to use 3200MHz 8gb single stick of ram on Asus B350M motherboard. Any idea what speeds I should expect to get after messing around with the XMP profiles? CPU: Ryzen 1500x Mobo: Asus prime B350m-k RAM: HyperX ddr4 3200MHz 8GB (8x1)
