  1. 8GB RAM is more than enough for current games. The only game that currently uses 8GB is Battlefield 4. What motherboard would you recommend? Like I said, it is possible to disable it by tweaking the settings files. I have done it. You are right on the engine thing, I read that if you disable it crazy shit starts to happen.
  2. You can disable vsync if you tweak the settings files.
  3. Alright, I won't sell it. I'll get a guide and OC the hell out of it. Thanks for the help, guys.
  4. That's what keeps me from selling it, it's more future-proof.
  5. I ran Skyrim and sadly, I was dissapointed. As far as I know my GPU should eat that game, but when I was playing I got around 40-60 FPS with vsync disabled. Awesome GIF.
  6. Hello I build my very first PC about 5 months ago and I wanted it to be a gaming PC, but I think I made a mistake when choosing the CPU. I've heard Intel processors are better for gaming whereas an FX-8350 is useful for video editing, rendering and that sort of stuff. Would you guys recommend selling my current CPU and getting say, an i5 4670K? I'll be playing games like BF4, Skyrim, Watch Dogs. I want to run games at max settings, at 60 FPS and at 1080p.
  7. Would you guys recommend selling my FX-8350 and getting the i5 4670K? I wanted to build my PC mostly for gaming and I think I made a mistake on the CPU. I've read the FX-8350 is useful for video editing, rendering and stuff like that, and not very good for gaming.
  8. Hey guys, So lately my computer has been crashing when I'm playing certain games with the controller mentioned in the title. It first started with FIFA 11 - I was playing online with my cousin and the game suddenly froze, the monitor screen went black and said there was no input signal. The audio slowly faded out and the CPU fan went crazy. I tried alt-tabbing out, crtl + art + supr but nothing worked. Ultimately I had to force shutdown the PC. The next time was playing Super Mario 64. Same as above. And now, less than 10 minutes ago, I wanted to play Crysis 2 with the controller to find out how it feels. Loaded the game, started shooting randomly and boom, crash. I played Crysis 2 yesterday with a mouse and keyboard and had no problems whatsoever so I'm sure it's not an issue with that game. I have the latest driver for my GPU and for the controller.
  9. Sometimes when I'm using Chrome or checking the HDD on Windows Explorer, the top of the window starts flickering for about 10 seconds and I can't close it, minimize it or do anything until it stops. This has been an issue since I built this computer. Have any of you heard of this problem?
  10. Will those guides work with my CPU? I'm not sure what Bulldozer and Piledriver mean.
  11. It's not the emulator because I have overclocked my card before and never run into problems with Project64. Alright, I'll OC it manually.
  12. Should I OC my card on "lethal mode"? Because I recently did a fresh Windows 7 64-bits install and overclocked my card with the button pushed in, and it crashed while playing Super Mario 64. I never had any problems with the same clock speeds with "lethal mode" turned off.
  13. It turns blue when you push it. Does it put the card in turbo mode?
