Solution was: - make sure ram sticks are in "paired motherboard socets" - upgrade BIOS to : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5Q_Pro/P5Q-ASUS-PRO_1613.zip?_ga=1.222990171.1169464917.1460796883 which " P5Q PRO BIOS 1613 Fixed if plug 8G memory and set "Memory Remap" as disable in BIOS, it cannot enter 64bit OS. " (Here have also problem because in bios asus update software did not see my usb (had to format it to FAT (not FAT32) before) - set Voltage to 1.9V Thanks

my mobo is Asus P5QPro well since my winodws 7 does not boot and bios is keep restarting I would love to set voltage, timigs in bios so I can run thoose 4 sticks

Hello, I wanted to upgrade my Potato PC a little bit by adding another 2x2GB sticks of RAM. well i pick same capacity, same frequency but.. after plugin it all in system won't boot. I google it and found that additional memmory I just bought is mismached (it was used one, so can't really return it ;( ) What I got now: 2x2GB OCZ Series Platinum Revision 2 Model OCZ2P800R22GK Speed DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Cas Latency 4 Timing 4-4-4-15 Voltage 1.9V - 2.1V 2x2GB GoodRam Model GR800D264L6/2G Speed DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Cas Latency 6 Timing (not sure) 6-8-8-22 Voltage 1.8V Well what I can see now, that event if I will be able to run thoose two It will be slower than my OCZ setup - but really need it to work out. Hmm so what you are telling about cores and threads maybe I might consider AMD FX-8350 or AMD FX-9590 it's got 8c16t.Versus that i7 AMD performance is lower but while running benchmark. Is it possible that while dual system it might be slightly more efficient due to 8cores

Can I create virtual machine on this parameters where Virtual Machine will have access to (lets say): - 8GB of RAM - Dedicated graphic card (SAPPHIRE) So on Host machine I want to game into newer tittles, and in the same time I would like to play ex. CS GO at my POTATO guest machine (setup of 8GB of ram+SAPPHIRE is just fine for CS purposes). Would it be better if I have Two SSD (250GB each) instead of one 500GB one? (for purposes of visualizing?) I am going to add my current 1TB of HDD as storage. I tough about maybe this would be more efficient: 2x SSD (250GB)+1TB HDD (every system installed separately on one SSD and both system have access to every disk in case). Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $87.77 x2=$175,54 This cost 26$ more but if that will rise efficiently I can go for it.
