My Acer Iconia A500 hasn't been working for a while now, and only now have I decided to fix it. I dismantled it completely, and discovered it was to do with the power button, this is a known issue with this tablet. So I put it back together, confident that I could turn it on by shorting the contacts. However, I plugged it in, it indicated it was charging with the charging light, and shorting the contacts did nothing. To short it I put a piece of Aluminium foil in some tweezers and put it on the contacts. Am I doing something wrong here? Or does shorting the contacts not turn it on?

What setting would it be under?

I have recently built a pc as an htpc, but when I connected it to my tv via HDMI, when at native resolution, the picture extends past the edge of the tv. I have re-installed drivers on the gtx 1060, but it still isn't working. Any ideas?

So I can install windows 10 via the assistive technology https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade I can't do it though because it says to contact the administrator for the business.

So, I got a laptop for free. But it has windows 7 enterprise on it, so I can't use the assistive technology free upgrade path. Is it possible to rid the os of the enterprise license so it just has a standard license?

So I was planning to get the asus rog strix gtx 1060, but the msi gaming x has gone down to $175 on ncix us. Should I go for the gaming x card just for dat price difference?

So the mx300 should be a solid choice?

I'm looking for an SSD for my new system, I was looking at the ultra II but then I found the mx300. It's cheaper and performs better overall. Should I get the mx300, or is crucial not a great brand?

Hi All, I have a Toshiba portege r9330 and the sound is being flaky, one minute it will work, and the next it will not. It is extremely annoying. The sound driver has been updated and there are no other issues with the laptop.

It's just going to be put into my rig as a place to store photos. I don't care about speed. But it wil probably fail soon, it was on a vista laptop.
