  1. Thanks, yeah I will give it a try and post if it resolved the issue when it arrives.
  2. I think I fixed it. Basically just have to change process priority to high for my music streaming app, haven't tested any other programs. I still hear the occasional audio oddity, but idk what to do next. Thinking DAC?
  3. I will add that some of these measures seem to have helped reduce the popping occurrence rate, but nothing I have tried has completely eliminated it. This further lends to my belief that it shouldn't be related to a hardware issue.
  4. unlikely. The popping is pretty random, but occurs at higher frequencies or louder noises normally. Same type of popping sounds occurs when nothing is plugged into the 3.5mm jack, and same sound occurs when the new headphones are plugged in as well. The headphones and laptop were purchased very recently, and have had very little usage.
  5. Random audio popping coming from laptop. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but it occurs no matter what the output (headphones or speakers). I have tried the following -Tried using Windows automatic diagnostic tool -Enabled or disabled possibly excess audio devices in Device Manager (restarting afterwards to test the device or combination of enabled devices) -Tried changing bit depth and sample rate to lowest settings and disabled audio enhancements -Checked for updates of drivers (all up to date) -Tried alternate drivers -Tried switching the power management mode of my pc from balanced to performance -Tried changing the PCI Express Linked State Power Management from Max Power saving to Moderate when on battery and Off when plugged in. -Used Process Lasso to change audiodg.exe process to "High" process priority, and changed affinity to a single core (CPU 02) system info- Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) (22621.ni_release.220506-1250) System Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. System Model: Katana 15 B13VGK BIOS: E1585IMS.106 (type: UEFI) Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H (16 CPUs), ~2.4GHz Memory: 16384MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 12 I greatly appreciate any help with this issue... I am at my wits end trying to figure out the crux of the issue here. Thank you very much for any of your time and suggestions.
  6. Title says it...."Monitor Issues (ASUS VG248QE w/big blue line center screen)". Perfectly straight line of pixels (maybe a few) that have strangely appeared... to my horror. Switched to a different monitor to see that it displayed the screen without this vertical blue eye sore. So I guess its the monitor... but it gets weird.... when I use the monitor UI interface, it covers up the vertical blue crap! Additionally, the two sides of the screen divided by the blue border wall are showing different tones to the colors displayed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Things I Have tried... -switching to hdmi -checked cable connections -installed newer graphics drivers -changed resolution settings and refresh rate -smacked it a few times specs- Win10, i7 6700k,1080 ti. Thanks.
  7. I recently purchased the Sennheiser 58x Jubilee off of Massdrop. But, I am wondering if my overall listening experience could be improved with the addition of a sound card to my system. My mother board is the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5. Which boasts these specs for its audio capabilities "High Quality Audio Capacitors and Audio Noise Guard with LED Trace Path Lighting, and the Realtek ALC1150 is a high-performance multi-channel high definition audio codec that delivers an exceptional audio listening experience with up to 115dB SNR, ensuring users get the best possible audio quality from their PC. High Quality audio capacitors deliver the highest quality sound resolution and sound expansion to create the most realistic sound effects for professional gamers." So I am not really sure how much a sound card, or a sound card and external dac combo, would improve the quality of the audio. I'm not really able to blow a lot of dough on these, so I would have to keep the budget for each device to around 100$. So, in conclusion, would it be worth it to get a sound card around the 100$ price range, or is my mobo's on board audio better than that in the first place? Additionally, would a sound card I purchase benefit from an external DAC?(I'm not sure if a sound card would benefit from an external amp as well, I am assuming the sound card would supply that?) Thank you for any and all advice on the matter, it is appreciated. ?
  8. Yeah, the monitor I have only has 144hz through the DVI-D port. Setting it to 120hz works fine for DSR apparently tho, with my setup at least. Don't know why I did not have to F with it at all before but ehh w/e. 120 should be fine for 4k.
  9. Yeah I think you were right. Changed the display to 120hz and now DSR seems to be working. Thanks for your suggestion!
  10. Can I change it to 143hz and get it working? ?
  11. 2X, and 4X were enabled. I did not enable all of the factors tho.
  12. I have an ASUS 144hz 1080p monitor, but I have never had a problem with DSR before. I did a clean custom install of the new driver on EVGA's site. What is DDU btw? '
  13. I recently purchased a EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 (coming from two MSI 980 ti's GE). And I find that what I used to do to switch between DSR settings in games is not working anymore. I used to be able to just switch to 4k resolution In-game. Now I cannot seem to enable it at all. I'm currently being limited to 1080p in all games while in-game, and Geforce experience allows me to change my applied settings to 2k, and 4k, but then I get in-game and it's right back to 1080p. Anyone else have these problems? I seem to be able to change my desktop to 4k just fine.... I am confused, and it's probably something just really dumb I am overlooking.... Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for any assistance.
  14. Downloaded uTorrent... Double clicked the executable but did not finish the install because I had second thoughts about it once my antivirus noticed something odd. Did a full scan of my PC since then and says I am in the clear, could it just be a very well hidden program? Or am I just being worried for no reason? I do not notice any slowdown or anything... Thanks in advance.
  15. CPU, I feel like liquid cooling on my cards would be kinda costly... That extra fan sounds like a good idea, will have to look at what I can find on newegg, or amazon.
