    Hmm, got my hands on a 330s and a similar HP, but with different internals, but same chassis and find the hinge of the HP "funny" … guess I'll flip a coin then.

    Wow thanks! I see that the IPS-panels of these models are much more desirable. Probably will go for the HP just because I can get hold of it for 500€ and the Lenovo would be 600€, but I'll first try to get my hands on them at a store. Many Thanks again?

    The online-site I use when looking for laptops is: https://geizhals.at/ I am from Austria, but I guess this site is comparable to best buy, as it lists every in Austria available model and it's best price. The criteria for my search was: 15.6" no dedicated GPU around 600€ battery life can be average as it'll be used +6h a day and therefore I'll always have a charging cable at hand CPU preferably Ryzen5 3500U or Ryzen7 2700U (or better if the price alows it), but generally the best bang-for-buck 8 GB of RAM are enough no CD/DVD needed pre-installed 256GB M.2 SSD would be nice On my site of trust (with no price limit) this gives me these results: https://geizhals.at/?cat=nb&v=e&hloc=at&hloc=de&sort=t&bl1_id=30&xf=11609_1920x1080~12128_15~6751_21~6763_Ryzen+x+3xxx~8149_integrierte+Grafik+(IGP)

    What would be you recommendation for an office/multimedia laptop in the region of 600€? I also found the Acer Aspire 3 to be in this price range, a few Asus Vivobook 15 and a Dell Inspirion 15 5575. Somehow I'd like to have a Ryzen in it, because it seems to be a much better price/performance, especially looking at the Ryzen 3rd gen.

    Hi folks, Short: Can the Lenovo Ideapad L340-15API with a pre-installed 256 GB SSD be upgraded by putting in a second HDD? Long: As I couldn't find any reviews/teardowns of the L340 neither on google nor here in the forum I started a new post. 1) Does anyone of you currently use this laptop?     Ok, but the ultrabooks I could find, that have comparable performance (GTX 1050) all cost 200€ more. Or did I overlook some great deals?

    Hi, I was looking around for a business laptop for around 700-800€. A dedicated graphics card is a must have, due to 3D-CAD programs, and a powerfull CPU would be appreciated too. Then I found the Lenovo ThinkPad E480 for 800€ a Rx 550 (2GB), I5-8250U and a 256GB m.2 PCIe SSD, but just 14": https://www3.lenovo.com/at/de/laptops/thinkpad/edge-series/ThinkPad-E480/p/22TP2TEE480?menu-id=ThinkPad_E480 What is your opinion on this deal?     Hey there! I was looking for a new keyboard, obviously a mechanical one ;D, and ran into the K-series of Corsair. I need to admit that I like the way the keys aren't embedded in the frame but rather "standalone". But on the other hand Corsairs keyboards are damn expensive, so do you know any other good mechanical keyboards with such a look? And have you made any experience with them (good or bad)? Also I would prefer red switches because I am not a big write but more a gamer. Note: Also the Asus ROG Claymore would be a dream...but not more than dream (I mean how can they charge 250€ for just a keyboard???)

    You need to ask yourself if you realy need 1 TB of storage. Becsuse pictures, documents and other stuff can be stored on dropbox or other cloud services. But if you want to download a pretty big steam library you might want that extra space. Also you didn't mention a price for both, is there a difference?

    What other cases are you talking about? Spontaniously only the node 304 comes to my mind, but it's much bigger than the Metis plus. And there are more than there "mini" cards: from the 1050 zp to the 1070(!), and also team red's 460 and 470 is small enough to fit into the case I guess. But quality wise I totally agree with you, it looks and definitely is cheap, but for my taste ok, I don't wanna spend 150€ just on the case. SFF builds go along with a tight budget I guess ;D.

    Hey there! Not long ago an redisigned version of the Raijintek Metis was released with much(!) better airflow. I think it looks quite neat. But do you think that the flow direction from the back to the front (back fan - CPU - powersupply - bottom outlet) is good? Cant the powersupply easily overheat during intense gaming sessions? And what do you think all in all of this case?

    I'm not sure about that, because I havent heared great stories about the intel stock cooler or especially the AMD blower style cards. And also, in my opinion, it may be advisable to get a ssd too, for the OS.

    Maybe a bit cheaper mouse, a cheaper version of windows (even if dizmo isnt a fan of it ^^) and get rid of the wirless network adapter if not needed and you have a nice sub 700$ PC.

    The problem I see with pre-built systems like the suggested, is that you dont exactly know the components used. It just says 8GB DDR4 RAM..but which? And also you dont know what motherboard or power-supply (dont underestimate it) is being used. Not a big fan of this.

    No the software we use isnt that much of work for the laptop, because the quality can be turned down quite a bit, the important thing here, is that external software can be installed. Not like on chromebooks or such devices.

    What do you think of cube cases? They can look quite interesting too.     Hey there! I'm 17 years old and at a, so called college(?)(we in Austria call it HTL...how ever). I currently have a great self built pc on my desk, but need something for school. My plans are to take a small portable laptop to school, and do he heavier work at home at my pc. So I would mainly use the the laptop for office programs like excel, word, powerpoint, but maybe also for other softwares like mathcad or even catia(a 3d modelling software, but with little requirements). Therefor my first thoughts of a chromebook are dead I guess, are they? I am currently not in need of such a laptop, but it would be comfortable, so I wanted to know if there is any suitable device for around 300-400€.

    Its definitely not the first bord that supports DDR4, there are many more out there...if its the first platform...dont know. And the high memory speed is usless due to the cpu limitation and if the cpu will be more stable is just a marketing i suppose...but hey you never now until u try XD.

    They say they achieved 4.5 Ghz with ease.

    The 2133Hz ram speed means that any faster ram would be downclocked to 2133Hz..so faster than supporter would be waste. but the cpu clock you mean is the max turbo boost, but as this is a unlocked processor u can raise the freqency above the 3.5 Ghz. Turbo boost only means that, when u dont change anything the cpu would go up to this frequency under heavy load.

    Does AutoCAD even support 16 Threads? Not sure I have only worked with catia and solidworks so far. But these definitely dont profit of more than 8 cores.     I dont know what you are doing but I think a 6800k will still be more than overkill...and whats a overkill cpu with a "normal" gpu...you see the prorpotion doesnt fit.
