  1. My ryzen 5 1600 will be arriving shortly, and i plan to overclock it as hard as i can. I have here a Blizzard T2 that i've been using in my old computer, and it served my i5 2400 very well. My question is: should i use my Blizzard T2 or the stock Wraith Spire for now? I'm not sure which one is beefier.... opinions?
  2. Thanks! but i have no idea what XMP is hahahaha so if i just plug those memories in they will run at 1333mhz no problem? my fear was of CPU damage
  3. Sup guys, i suspect my memory stick on my second computer is starting to fail (it was only 2gb anyway) so i will be buying a couple DDR3 8gb sticks to replace it. i checked my motherboard (z68ma-d2h-b3) and it supports up to 2133MHz DDR3 ram. BUT, i checked ARK for my i5 2500, and i says that it only supports up to 1333MHz DDR3 ram... So, my question is: what will happen if i buy 2 sticks of 1866 or 1600MHz and put them on my PC? will my CPU be in danger? is it safe? Should i really buy only 1333MHz ram? thanks!
  4. i see. It's just that i could not find a good review of this processor, and everybody tells me AMD is shit, so i'm not 100% on this hahahaha
  5. My dad asked me to build him a simple PC, for his e-mails, youtube and netflix. So i wanna find what is the cheapest build i can find while still not being a shitty PC. I want it to run smooth even on youtube on netflix, on 1366x768 resolution. So, will the A4 7300 get the job done? i will side it with 8gb of ram on dual channel (already had the sticks). Opinions?
  6. well... so now i don't know what is true. 170w TDP or 280w? and also, about the "don't buy list", check out this link: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/thermaltake-tr2-700-w-power-supply-review/11/ that list was probably refering to the OLD TR2 PSU's... right?
  7. hum. that sucks. Well, what about this one? they are doing a sale on that too... and i saw some good reviews about it: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001999
  8. Hi guys. I'm gonna try to be very plain and simple here. My power suply: Corsair CX-600W - CP-9020048-WW My processor: i5 2500 (no overclock) 8gb DDR3 ram 1 SSD 1 EVGA GTX 970 SC (this one to be accurate: http://br.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2974-KR) My favorite hardware store is doing a really good sale on this exact GPU, and i really wanna buy another one. But i'm not sure if my power supply will be able to handle 2 GPU's... help me please!
  9. as i said, i live in Brazil. New products don't come instantly to my country, and when they do, their price is unreal compared to the rest of the world because they are new. For example, the PS4 at launch costed the equivalent to 1500 dollars. yea...
  10. let me start by listing here my hardware config: Intel I5 2500 (non k version) Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 MOBO 8gb corsair 1333mhz DDR3 ram in dual channel Sapphire R9 270 overclocked edition 2gb Corsair cx 600w power supply As it is right now, i can play star wars battlefront in high graphics, no problem. But i wanna be ready for the next big games, so i'm planning to upgrade my GPU real soon to a GTX 970, maybe 980. And i was wondering if my CPU will bottleneck in the new top tier games, like Battlefield 1 for example. All i'm hoping for is a stable 70+Fps in high quality settings and 1080p resolution. No need for 144hz and 4k here... Is there a software that i can use to know exactly if my CPU started to bottleneck? how can i test that? I'm really hopeful that i will be able to just upgrade my GPU and be done with it, cuz i live in Brazil and hardware is extremely expensive here... for example, an I7 6700k costs more or less 600 dollars here. I'm already putting a LOT of money up to pay for the GTX 970, so.. hope you guys can help me, thanks
  11. So, i bought a Siberia V2 Blue frost, and installed the oficial drivers. but all the options that it shows are audio balance, and that's it. 7.1 is not even mentioned... How can i know if it is activated? how can i configure my 7.1?? help please
  12. thanks! really good info... but i wonder if the bios switch is permanent, or if i would have to do this every time...
  13. Hello guys, gonna try to explain everything in a simple way here. I have a Gigabyte z68ma-d2h-b3 motherboard (i5-2500 processor) fully updated to the last UEFI available. It always worked like a charm, but lately (out of nowhere) it started to behave weird... I can no longer enter the BIOS options or even enter the system info (F9 key on boot). the screen just turns blue and freezes there when i press DEL. And now, when i try to turn on my PC as usual, sometimes it just freezes on the first POST screen, so i have to turn the power off and on (sometimes multiple times) untill it finally boots up properly. When it finally boots up windows as it should, the computer works perfectly fine like nothing happened. So, i'm thinking it could be a corrupt BIOS (UEFI) problem right? this motherboard has that "dual bios" feature, but i don't know how it works. How can i switch to the other bios, the intact one? Please help! thanks
