I'm getting a Msi m7 gaming mobo and it has 2 way nivida and 3 way amd gpu so just wandering what's like a GTX 980 Ti on their side?

I'm gonna be doing a post test on a new motherboard. Can I do this with out the heat sink hook up.

I've never played with audio always used headphones, I wanna start using speakers though. Sooooo does with matter what config I use (2.0,2.1,3.1,4.0,4.1,or 5.1) does it really matter? Thanks for your help ha.
