  1. I have not tried a different PSU cable for it, I'll give that a go and see what happens. Small Update: I originally had a separate PSU cable connected to the HDD for power so I tried using the same cable that powered the SSD and the problem still persists. It's also interfering with the boot up sequence for some reason. I checked in the BIOS settings to see which drive it was booting from and it's still says that it's booting from my SSD (as it should and the SSD is the only option to boot from) but whenever the HDD is "plugged in" it just gets stuck on the booting sequence screen (endless looping animation). The problem is fixed whenever I don't have the HDD plugged in so IDK what's going on there.
  2. I have a Western Digital Black 6TB Performance HDD that I was going to use for a PC build but after installing it and starting up the PC, the HDD just constantly beeps. The HDD doesn't show up in the partition manager as well. I've tried using different SATA cables and plugging them into the different SATA ports on my motherboard but nothing seems to work. Not exactly sure what is going on here, so if anyone could help out I would greatly appreciate it.
  3. Agreed. Install media sounds like the easiest way to go about this.
  4. Wish that was the case but Windows isn't detecting anything wrong. I've restarting I think around 20 times now.
  5. Actually downloading it right now on a USB. I think I should be able to get into safe mode from there. Just wondering if there are any other options while I wait for the download to be done.
  6. Unfortunately can't into Windows at all. Freezes at the spinning boot logo.
  7. Windows 10. Sorry for not mentioning it in the original post. I just edited it in.
  8. Having some problems with my graphics drivers so I need to get into safe mode to re-install them. Question is, how exactly do I do that? Right when I start up my PC, pressing F8 will bring up window that asks which drive to boot from. Pressing F8 on that screen does nothing so I select the drive I usually boot from. Directly after that, I hit F8 again which brings up the ASUS UEFI BIOS windows. After exiting out of that, pressing F8 yet again does nothing. At this point within a few seconds of the boot logo, it freezes and I can't do anything else. What do I do? Edit: I have Windows 10
  9. I installed the latest update (whatever the most recent update was) for my drivers today and after completing the express installation, everything went black. I left it there for around an hour until I finally restarted my PC. I had done this on another driver update a while back and I was able to boot up my PC just fine. However, this time around, I either get a black screen or it freezes during the spinning circle phase (boot logo) when I start up my PC. I've restarted my PC multiple times now and every single time, the same thing happens. I'm able to move my mouse cursor around but the screen just displays a frozen boot logo. I have two GTX 980 TI's and a ASUS ROG Maximus mobo. Update: Hot fixed it by doing a system restore 2 days back (before I downloaded the driver). Complete pain in the ass.
  10. Just found a benchmarking video between a single 1080 Ti and the 980 Ti SLI The 1080 Ti beats out the 980 Ti SLI by around 4-5 frames at times but the majority of the time, it's pretty much dead even.
  11. The 980 Ti SLI is dodgy at times but does give pretty good frames on the AAA games I play. Problem is, I don't know how much better a single 1080 Ti is in direct comparison to the 980 Ti SLI. I'd much rather have better frames and more stable performance. Also, I render videos on Vegas using CUDA so I don't know if the single card is better than two.
  12. Currently running on two Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB XTREME cards and I was thinking of selling the two and upgrading to a single 1080 Ti. I game occasionally and I edit a good amount of videos. I'm wondering if the 1080 Ti will give me worth while benefits over my two 980Ti's Edit: Found a benchmarking video that answered my questions...
  13. Yeah I think I'll do that. I have Xfinity (answering your previous question). Customer support there sucks a whole bunch but whatever...
  14. Yeah works on mobile data so my network is interfering with it. Not sure how to fix this.
  15. Found the culprit... Doesn't happen on mobile data so my network is screwing with it. Now how exactly do I fix this...
