  1. Well the card is showing up currently when I'm back on the version of the game ready driver I had before I put the 1080ti in this machine. Now that I think about it, and checked the version, I'm using the current driver right now, both cards are showing up. I tried reinstalling the same latest driver, 457.51 with a fresh install before I learned about the 4 monitor limit. After reinstalling it, thats when 1080ti didn't show up in task manager. Shouldn't be any issues with the card. It's been in a working environment the last few years. Have 2 machines, before a few days ago, main rig was 3970x with 2080ti, and second one is an older x99 5960x and 1080ti. Then got my 3090, so 2080ti went into secondary workstation, 3090 into main of course, and 1080ti was free. PC did seem to hang on the driver install and then restart though so maybe that was the issue. But at this moment I'm running the current version, both GPUs are active. Can't go above 4
  2. That's what I was thinking as well, but shouldn't be. I can double check the PCIe slot settings in BIOS but im running a 3970x so I've got more than enough lanes available. Seems like I have no problem getting the displays to show, its just I can only get 4. i.e I can plug 3 into the 1080ti and 1 into 3090, and see them all. But not the 5th. I had to delete the display driver after my post because it made the 1080ti not show up in task manager, and whichever displays were plugged into it not show up at all. Are there 2 seperate drivers? I tried looking at the 1080ti drivers, but it appears to be the same one for both
  3. 3090 GPU 1 1080ti GPU2 Samsung G9 Main display at 240hz 10bit 1440p, plus a 165hz 1440p acer, and then 2 cheapest 1080p panels + hdmi projector. 3090 says its got the 4 display limit, but really seems like a second GPU solely for displays should up that limit.
  4. GPU 1 has a 4 monitor limit per the specs. Which appears to be the limit here, but I don't understand why that'd affect the second GPU. I've done more testing and currently I've got 2 plugged into GPU and 2 plugged into GPU 1 and its working fine, minus not having my 5th one (projector) able to run at the same time. Does the main GPU's display limit really set the total amount a machine can support?
  5. Hi guys Got a new GPU, upgraded all my systems with the card that came out of the previous machine, had old but totally functional GPU sitting around. Got more monitors as well, did a bad job of planning out available ports. Figured, Well I'll just put the old GPU as secondary in my main system and use it for additional display outputs. It's all installed, properly connected, I've seen images on all 5 monitors (4 plus a projector) with the current config. When I first turned on my machine, both GPUs showed up in task manager. Monitors that were connected to GPU 1 and GPU 2 were working together at the same time, but then still 2 of 5 remained off. I figured I'd reinstall the NVIDIA drivers, but after doing so and restarting, GPU 2 does not show up in Task Manager, and neither of the 2 monitors plugged into are displaying anything, but now all 3 plugged into GPU 1 are displaying. If anyone has any advice on how to get the second GPU to be recognized in WIndows again, and get all 5/5 displays working at the same time, it'd be much appreciated!
  6. @GhostRoadieBL Yeah unfortunately these all just seem to show the same information, about what shares are actually shared on the computer, not what shares are on the rest of the network. I can get whatever folders I want to get permission and setup wise, its just not showing all the available shares in the 'Network' Section of the file explorer there
  7. @Falcon1986 For good measure I just changed all three of the windows computers to a new workgroup name, one that none of them could have ever had before. Now RAY-LAPTOP can see and access files on: RAY-LAPTOP, WORKSTATION-1, and WORKSTATION-2 in the network section of file explorer. But the other 2 computers only see the Laptop, not even themselves anymore. This is after a restart of all machines, and refreshing the file explorer multiple times.
  8. @Falcon1986 Yes, just confirmed they are all on the same Workgroup, just the default one titled "WORKGROUP" minus the Mac mini ofc.
  9. Hi all, done my fill of Googling the past few weeks on this, can't figure it out. Here's the setup. There are 4 computers (3 WIN10 1 MacOS) on my network I'm interested in. Computer names are: Workstation-1 Workstation-2 Ray-Laptop Ray-Mac-Mini I've set up various network drives and folder shares across all the different computers I want to have access to from anywhere on the network. Workstation-2 can see all of them flawlessly in the 'Network' section of File explorer. At least it did until a few minutes ago. Now it only sees Workstation-1 and Ray-Laptop, just like all the others, something broke it, but it's been the odd one out, being the only one that would ever see them all. At the end of the day I'd like all 4 computers to be able to see all 4 computers. And they all can, I've confirmed in command prompt that I can ping all 4 computers from every other one and get a response. And here's a video showing that I can access any of the places I want to and see the files, so I know the sharing permissions/setup is correct. I've followed every guide that I can find. I've enabled various services on all the computers recommended, like: Function Discovery Provider Host Function Discovery Resource Publication And I've set these all to be Automatic (Delayed Start) I've enabled SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support in Windows Features Network is set to private on all machines, File and Printer Sharing is turned on as well as Network Discovery, password protection is turned off in the Network Sharing Center, Encryption is the same. Etc. Does anyone have a deep understanding of Windows networking, or have an insanely detailed guide I can follow that will guarantee I can get every computer to show up in 'Network' instead of just the two. I've had this issue for months and never can find a solution, so I haven't been able to set everything up the way I want, just the essential stuff. I don't want to use 'Network Drives' with letters because I won't have enough letters, and it'll be way more confusion anyway. Any help would be awesome!
  10. Yeah, I found the one I knew of and enabled it, but having problems further down the line.
  11. What happens if something goes wrong with my windows install while using software raid? Is that going to make the array unrecoverable?
  12. Hmmmm, I was under the impression it was the opposite. Do you know off the top of your head where that is in the motherboard bios settings? Also any idea why there's multiple driver software downloads that I'm just not able to install for some reason? Like even the Realtek audio driver's setup wizard doesn't do anything.
  13. Hello, I have a Strix TRX40-E Gaming Asus motherboard. I have Windows installed on an NVMe drive. I have 2 more NVMe drives that I'd like to be in a RAID 0. I've gone into the BIOS and set up the array with RAIDXpert2, and it says everything is normal there, but when I get into Windows the drives show up individually, with a volume and are initialized, but they don't have a name or filesystem. I figure this means Windows doesn't have the correct RAID Driver installed. I've tried downloading both the Drivers and the RaidXpert2 Utility that I'm supposed to be able to use within Windows, but whenever I try install them, they fail. More specifically. when I run the setup exe, the pauses and gives a loading bar saying its extracting the files, but it never launches a program/wizard, it just disappears and nothing happens. Any help would be much appreciated!
  14. Hi all, Title says it all. I got 2 Tentacle syncs last week for a shoot this Wed. I figured I'd have them working perfectly by now, but I'm still having weird issues even after multiple tests. I have tried every combo of settings I can think of, but I made a video going through one to show the main issue. TL;DR Settings appear right, editing software has no problem syncing footage and audio, but when it does they end up being a few frames out of sync. Video: Any help would be super appreciated!
  15. Right now I have the Control Room Outs going to my headphone amp, and I'm using the Aux output to go to the Line In on my PC for recording. I tried using a female 3.5mm to dual female RCA adapter to go from Phones to the Amp but that didn't seem to be working either.
