  1. Ok, my friend told me that the old drive should still be bootable since it was just a copy or clone of the drive in case anything goes wrong.
  2. Ok, O'm gonna try the GParted route to try and fix the issue, Thanks!
  3. The issue I'm having is that it turned the rest of the drive into a recovery partition that Disk Management won't let me change, and on the note of Acronis giving me that option I went with the Automatic setup because I didn't want to break anything but I'm sure that if I went for the advanced option I could have avoided this.
  4. I recently purchased a Western Digital NVME 512GB SSD and I used Acronis True Image that Western Digital provides free to copy the disk over and it worked great, for the most part, for some backstory I upgraded from a Sandisk Z400s 128GB to this drive. Everything worked out fine with the copy process and windows 10 works perfectly at a very high speed, but windows still thinks that the drive is 128GB and the rest of the drive is completely unused. I clearly have not done this before so If any of you can help me get the rest of my drive back since storage is the reason I upgraded. My friend recommends using Gparted to fix it but I'm not sure that will work. Thank you.
  5. Ok thank you! This just slightly worries me because I've never had to clean anything like this and I don't want to break it.
  6. I have a plan to dip a soft brush in the alcohol and lightly scrub in the slots to clean them, is that ok or do I need to do something else?
  7. I recently bought a laptop off eBay that was claimed to work. The laptop did not come with a power supply or a battery which I have bought and will arrive on Tuesday, for now I have no idea if it works or not I'm just trusting what the seller said and after doing a full disassembly to look at the motherboard to find everything was fine except for the ram slots. I have already cleaned the ram's contacts with distilled vinegar but knowing me I probably damaged something so because I think I damaged the ram I need another way to clean the slots they go in as I am not willing to get vinegar on the motherboard and break that too. Now I have seen that alcohol works great so I ran down to the store and bought some and came home, to make sure that this will even work I googled it and always got that I have to use 90% or higher because of something to do with water content, the store only sells 70% which is what I got if someone can tell me if I can actually use this it will be appreciated, if it won't work thats ok with me because I only paid $2 and on the weekend i'll try and find 90% or higher. Thank you for your help.
  8. I got a can of compressed air to clean out a pic I had sitting around and it seemed that if I spray it for a certain amount of time it will become cold and a liquid will come out. Will this harm my computer?
