  1. I bought a twin pack of USB 3.0 flash drives (2x 32gb Sandisk) the first became my daily drive for work while the other sat in my drawer for back up. It worked for a few weeks on both my laptop and desktop but now for some reason the drive only works in 2.0 ports. When plugged in to 3.0 port, the LED lights up but it doesn't connect to the PC or show in disk management. This would not be an issue if my laptop had 2.0 ports (only has 3.0). The other drive in my drawer works fine in both 3.0 and 2.0 ports so I do not think it's a driver issue or a hardware issue, it must have something to do with the drive itself. I would like to figure out what the problem is in order to prevent it from happening to my other drive.
  2. Thank you!!! ive been trying to figure this out for months.
  3. I have an Asus ROG G751JM laptop, and on the keyboard is a button with the ROG logo. Im trying to figure out what it does and how to get it to work as when I press it nothing happens. I have already downloaded all the drivers that are for the laptop (that I have found), and do not really know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. I'm not sure what other software i might need.
  5. I have done this and it still doesn't work.
  6. I have an ASUS ROG G751JL. When i bought the laptop, I installed an SSD and wiped windows 10 to move it to said SSD. Since then, I haven't been able to use any sort of option that changes the brightness of the screen and no internet option I have found (updating drivers, disabling hardware, reinstalling drivers, etc.) has worked. This is slightly inconvinient as when im working away from a power source, it kills my battery that much faster so if I could get some help that would be great.
  7. There is no code or anything, the router just doesn't recognize that there is anything connected. I tried with a flashdrive a while back and it worked fine but the hard drive wont work. On the netgear site the compatibility list has high capacity drives on it so i don't know what i'm doing wrong, this is my first attempt at anything to do with networking.
  8. I'm trying to connect a western digital red 4tb to a Netgear 6300 router through a 3.5 bay to USB for the port on the back but I can't get it the router to recognize the USB device. Can anyone help? I attached a photo of the setup.
  9. I use 2 R9 380's and its great, if you already have one i suggest sticking to it. If you do want to upgrade though, wait for pascal or polaris this summer.

  11. Im looking to do a CPU/Motherboard/Ram upgrade in the future from my AMD FX-9590 with 24gb of ddr3 to something intel based with ddr4 ram (i do pc builds for friends and they enjoy buying my used parts which allows me to upgrade every once in a while). I use my pc mostly for 3D modeling with autodesk programs such as revit, Rendering with programs like Lumion, and editing with adobe photoshop and indesign. My question here is if i would benefit any from moving over to intel (other than my massive TDP of my processor now at 220w) and if i should go with a xeon or an i7. The 2 ive been comparing are the Xeon E3-1275 v5 Skylake and the i7 6700K skylake. Also, im not TOO worried about budget but id like to keep it under $400 (USD) for JUST the CPU.
  12. And yes i need everything, starting from nothing.
  13. i was also considering and AMD 8350 for the 8 core, I do the same stuff, use a 9590, and its BOSS
  14. I'm building a PC for a friend and was given 750 PURELY FOR PARTS. The machine would mostly be used for rendering, Autodesk applications like cad or revit, and Photoshop. i already have a tentative list together but id like to get some more opinions. I was planning on an intel i5 6500 skylake processor with 8gb of RAM and a GTX 960 gpu with at least 4gb of VRAM. I leave the case up to the customer as its more of a aesthetic thing (But i usually help so there isn't compatibility issues or they pick something with good build quality). lastly i was going to go for a 650w power supply to leave room for upgrade-ability, let me know what you think please.
