  1. Ok, Im building my computer in 2 days and want to change the color or my Geforce LED. I saw videos on this but for the 980 and was wondering if it was the same process. Like what tools do i need to get down to the logo. I was thinking to get the led out somehow and sand off the green paint like i saw people do before. I don't care about the warranty (Mainly because I bought this off ebay). since the founders is $700 i dont want to mess up the LED and not get the results that i desire. Any Guides that i can follow? Has anyone tried this on their 1080 yet? If so please link me or show me to a guide, otherwise i might just got off an old 980 guide and hope for the best. Will Post updates and pics after i do it, Thank you
  2. just use DBAN..... First get a flash drive and download Rufus. Next get the DBAN iso from their website and create a bootable drive with rufus. once you have made the bootable drive restart your computer and set the usb as you 1st boot priority and it should load DBAN (if you did it correctly). then nuke what drives you want wiped and done. Might take a couple hours to get rid of all the data on the drive but works perfect for me. make sure to have everything off of the usb. Rufus DBAN
  3. Ok, To start this off ill give you a little background. I have 1 LG 29um57-p and 2 LG 25um56-p's. They are 12:9 ultrawides with a resolution of (2560x1080) don't know if that considered 2k or 1080p. I'm building a new rig and i need to find a Display port to HDMI converter that works and that is CHEAP AND RELIABLE (Already spent so much money on this new comp last thing i would want to do is shell out more money for an expensive cable). I want it to be (2560x1080) at 60hz but I cant find any cheap reliable cables/converters. Does anyone have experience wit a Displayport to HDMI converter? Preferably DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0. I already have a DVI to hdmi from my previous setup and it works perfect, and its just a regular amazon basics cable. I'm not worried about my monitors getting sound use speaker/headphones anyways. And if you were wondering the monitors only have 2 HDMI for their display ports. Hope to get this solved quick because im on a deadline and need to get this system working. Thanks a bunch i know this is a lot of questions and sorry if i confused you.
  4. Ok so I'm doing an all white build and I have everything but the cables and LED's. I'm looking into LED's and cant seem to find out what to do with them. What are the best RGB LED's for the H440? Also Since I got a non-modular power supply I'm getting extensions so what cables am I going to need? On cable mods website it shows the 4 pin ATX extension, I'm guessing I need the 8Pin PCI-E Extension(GPU), 24 Pin ATX Extension (MoBo) and the 4 Pin ATX Extension(CPU). Are those really all the cables I need? Another thing is I'm going to put both SSD's where they can be seen and I'm getting cables for them to. The SATA 3 Data cable is only 1 port on the ssd what about the SATA Power cable? Sorry this has been just a ton of questions but thanks for the help, and if there are any Coupon codes for cable mod that are working for me (I live in Pennsylvania) that would be greatly appreciated Cable Mods selections Part List
  5. Going to be used for gaming but also CAD work and graphic design. not to mention its easier to put everything in 1 spot instead of having it all spread across 3 drives (2TB wd black and then the 2 ssds)
  6. So as long as an ssd doesn't fail I should be fine? They are both fairly new so they should still have years to go?
  7. How likely are raid configs to fail?
  8. Are they not faster in Raid 0?
  9. Right now I have a 240gb Kingston v300 and I'm trying to get another ssd to run the together in raid 0 (because I think this is the safest) but, the one I'm most likely going to get is the v200+ instead of the v300. I was wondering since they have different read and write speeds and they aren't exact same drive I wouldn't be able to run them together. And if they do work, which raid config is the fastest/safest for running my ssds? Thanks ahead of time
