  1. True. thankfully my card (Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming) has an internal HDMI so I should be fine.
  2. Title says it all. I'm looking for cases with HDMI in the front for VR. I know of the NZXT S340 Elite, but are there any other options before I jump the gun? All comments are appreciated.
  3. True, true. I am looking into sales and support; I love to share my knowledge as much as use it,
  4. Hello, LTT members! I would like to start by thanking you all for the help/advice I have gotten here over the past year. I am a high school student who became interested in computers about five years ago. In those years, my knowledge of PC's and OS'es has grown a lot, and I have enjoyed learning about hardware and software alike. However, in the past year or so, my quest for computing related knowledge has become stagnant. I built my own desktop and enjoyed doing so, and I am more familiar than ever with windows 10. Now that I understand the basic components of PCs and navigating operating systems, I want to go further. So now I present my question: Where do I go next? I am looking at building a career from this hobby, and I want to know where I can start anew, and continue learning. Any suggestions of what to pursue next, and how to do it are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any comments.
  5. Looking at two Asus monitors, The first with a TN panel and faster response times, and the other with an IPS screen and a higher price tag. I would like to know: Is the difference between IPS and TN large enough to sacrifice the refresh rates and money involved? Are there other monitors that are a better deal for a similar price? Any help is appreciated.
  6. Hello, folks of LinusTech forums. Today, I would like to employ your expertise in the realm of monitors. I recently built my first high-end gaming/video editing PC. It has an i7 6700k, 16gigs of DDr4 3200, and a GTX 1070. My monitor is a simple affair; an HP Pavilion 22xw 1080p panel, and seeing as I now have a powerful PC, I would like to take full advantage of my graphics prowess. I am looking at replacing my current panel with a 1440p screen, to compliment my GTX 1070. My daily workload consists of some gaming (Fallout 4, Battlefront 3, Battlefield 1) video editing (In Premiere Pro and After effects) and multimedia usage (Your average windows OS tinkering, browsing, etc). I am looking at 27inch models right now, but am open to screen size suggestions. My budget won't go over 400.00, and I can wait until Black Friday for deals. What do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance for any advice!
  7. Simple as that. I have a 1080p monitor, and want to be future proofed for a solid 4+ Years.
  8. Simple as that. Need an explanation of pros and cons from the gamer community before I commit to buying one or the other. Looking at the Fury X because of HBM and API support, 1070 because of extra Nvidia features.
  9. Well. Hmm. random question... if I could get a Fury X for 350.00... should I do it?
  10. Would you then say that based on the current market, AMD has a very good chance of releasing some really good GPUs very soon? Something to really compete with the likes of the 1080/Titan XP?
