Different bifercation modes
All making no difference

I have a black background and do desktop icons on my secondary monitors so they can have nothing but black on the screen, in this situation I want the monitor to be turned off/disconnted or in a perfect world the backlight turned off.
Does anyone know of a software that can auto turn off monitor when only displaying a black screen?
My other secondary monitor does this and it's really irritating to not have it on the other XD
Colour accuracy in unimportant but for example having a movie watching experience noticeably effected by the colour is not worth any refresh rate for me.
I do almost no content creation so colour accuracy is of little importance but still i don't want it to be washed out.
I game 50% of the time I'm on my PC (FPS, MOBA, MMO)
I'm training in networking so having lots of real estate is somewhat necessary.
So what I want is both high refresh rate and high resolution, TN panel being perfect for this.
What i want to know is if the drawbacks of TN are significant enough that the drawbacks of lower resolution and refresh rate of IPS are diminished.
I'm buying a new monitor and TN panels are significantly cheaper even better specifications.
Is going from 144hz 1080p or 60hz 4k to 1080p 60z worth the swap for a different panel type such as IPS?
I have a gtx 980ti EVGA hybrid cooler with a damaged pump and a gtx 780 windforce.
Could i use the windforce cooler for the 980?
I don't need it to work perfectly, it just needs to work better then a broken water pump.
I think underclothing my cpu and using the better power supply might have fixed it, but it does work sometimes for a day or two, even if it will start crashing again tomorrow thank you, so much, for helping me!
i have msi afterburner open

I'm using furmark because i don't have heavenbench and it will take too long to download because i live in a remote area so i have slow internet.
Ok I'll try that in a bit just because I don't want to waste time on swaping the psu and it still not work, plus I'm using a modular psu so it looks better.
