  1. Alright I still haven't tested it today, I will boot it tomorrow and check and come back to you. Also what I meant with unnecessary power draw was regarding energy saving when i'm not using software or gaming, the cores shouldn't be running at 4.5 Ghz (thus less power draw) when you do simple email checking or surfing, is what i meant.
  2. Can someone else confirm this please, or suggest whether to turn the BCLK to 100 or leave it at 125?
  3. Umh okay, i will give it a test tomorrow. One thing i heard about setting 125 baseclock is that you lose the ability for adaptive voltage, so it sounds like the voltage will be fixed to 1.3V (or whichever it is for stability, i haven't got to that step yet), so that sounds like unnecessary when the computer is in idle with the power draw. Can this be compensated by setting a "Minimum processor state" in Power Option though? Because if you can, then it's not really an issue.
  4. Hi, i have a question about setting baseclock. Here is my current situation, i'm trying to overclock, and the ram i'm using is Corsair Vengeance that runs at 3000MHz. Following this tutorial by Linus, once i have enabled XMP in BIOS, the CPU strap and BCLK is changed to 125 mhz automatically (same as what happened in the video); but then what confuses me is at timestamp 10:11, the next glimpse of his BIOS is now showing the CPU strap and BCLK at 100 mhz. So am I supposed to turn on XMP, and then adjust the CPU strap and BCLK (from 125) back to 100?
  5. My goal is to adjust GPU's core clock, memory and voltage if possible. Can GPU Tweak do that? If so I can give it a look!
  6. It might have been the WattMan, but I'm not sure. Previously I was able to adjust those settings, I have Asus RX 580 Dual OC. On the other hand, I might just go for WattMan for the time being, and check back later to see if any newer version of Afterburner is out for some fixes, I guess.
  7. Tried DDU, uninstalled driver in safe mode, reinstalled driver and MSI Afterburner, still locked.
  8. Hi, my MSI Afterburner's settings are locked and not showing anything beside the Core Voltage. It's currently like this. I tried to tick unlock voltage control/monitoring, but didn't help. Any suggestions? My cards are as seen in the attachment, Rx 580.
  9. About a year and a half, so not too long I suppose.
  10. Right, no it doesn't. Previously it did show up a few times as unallocated space, and if I want to access it I will have to do a format, which I didn't continue because I wanted to retrieve files. Now it doesn't show up there.
  11. I thought it's the same thing as Disk Partitions, but I will have a quick check and get back to you!
  12. Hi, I have a hard drive with the following symptoms, hope some experienced users here could help me out! My hard drive have clicking sound during OS boot, it gets powered up and also spins. Hard drive can be seen in BIOS' SATA connections, but is shown up as 0 GB (supposed to be 2 TB). Hard drive spins and clicks during boot (I think it's trying to read data), and after a few clicks, it stops completely (maybe powered down?). Hard drive is not found when I boot into Windows. Not found in Device Manager, nor in Disk Partition, or software like SeaTools or testdisk. If any more info is needed, feel free to let me know and I will follow up! I do plan to order a same model and swap out the PCB to see if any chance of getting it to work just to retrieve data. Any insights are much appreciated!
  13. @NumLock21 , @JoostinOnline , @dexT Okay guys, I got a little tips from a friend and that might have been the root of this problem, although I done so many changes so I don't know anymore. Apparently I was told to check on the Power Option in the Control Panel, it turns out the Max Processor Rate was set at 99%. I changed it to 100% and the turbo goes up to 3.8Ghz. So it seems to be working for now, I'm going to manually overclock it to verify that it's working properly. Prior this I changed as dexT suggested with the profiles (maybe that's why it boosted up to 3.8 Ghz and not just 3.6Ghz?), also tried Joostin's turning off/on Turbo Mode, but I have left it back on at the moment. NumLock's downgrading BIOS was my last hope kind of thing to try. Glad that I probably won't need it! You guys have been very kind and helpful, it's really amazing! I will go and do some overclocking and let you know what turns out!
