  1. oh for sure, we have and we get that, and we wouldnt be alone. there would be the 3 of us and some of the workers for the center. the labor itself isn't the issue just unsure if the solution we've thought of is a quality one or not
  2. I just recently started working for an really small msp thats run by a friend in a really small town. we were approached to set up 200 ip security cameras for a large center and I'm unsure what the best options is. we mainly work with Ubiquiti's ip cameras and have thrown around the idea of stacking 5 of their UNVR-pro's along with 200 of their cameras but wanted to check for other ideas first since this is the largest scale job we've worked on.
  3. so i started out with a fresh install of windows on his system didnt work fresh install on his sata ssd worked for a lil then didnt put his m.2 in my pc fresh install didnt work reset bios nope updated bios to latest update, still no work moved all his components to my motherboard, now i was having a different issue where it would only flash the motherboard screen for less than a second and i couldn't get into the bios. the pc would just stay on a black screen no matter how long i waited so i put my gpu on worked for windows install. at this point i figured it was the graphics card as well so i put all his components back on his motherboard in his case except his gpu, we used mine. this is when i played a league game, then stress test and after that same issue wont boot Edit: at this point i have my gpu back in my system and have been playing games for the past few hours no issues
  4. so i played a league game on his pc, everything was perfectly fine except for a moment in a team fight with all the characters the screen went out for maybe a minute. after the league game i downloaded 3d mark time spy and started a stress test and maybe 5 seconds in his pc crashed and wouldnt boot, keep in mind this is with my working gpu. so i guess its just psu maybe? but his m.2 still is wack so ig the psu took the m.2 with it when the initial crash happened
  5. yeah the bios ended up not fixing it, i finally decided i would test the motherboard itself, so i took mine out of my system and plugged all his components to it and was struggling to get anything to display so i swapped my graphics card in and i could get it to display but the m.2 was being weird so i did a fresh install on the sata that also didnt work previously and here i am replying to you on his pc. (with my gpu and windows in a different device that is) i want to try to put his gpu back in and see if the issue comes back and if so RIP not even a year old rx6800 edit: everything is back in his case on his motherboard but displaying with my gpu and windows on sata ssd
  6. yeah i made sure all drives were completely formatted and disconnected when installing, also we haven't replaced the battery only reset and even updated to latest version of the bios
  7. So on my brothers maybe year old pc, it wont properly boot windows. when you power it on it starts windows recovery and does a boot loop until it gets to the blue options page on windows. we've tried restoring his windows, reinstalling, and even reinstalling to a different drive, but after a fresh install, it will work for maybe 5 minutes then crash and its the original issue all over again. could it be a hardware issue? specs: ryzen 5 3600x aorus x570 elite wifi corsair vengeance rgb pro 2x8gb 3200mhz amd rx 6800 some 750w corsair psu edit: also both the drives this issue occurred with are a WD 1tb m.2 ssd and a 120gb sata ssd
  8. thats lame as hell, all im doing is watching tv with my girlfriend edit: also that may be the case but it works perfectly fine when she or my brother screenshares edit2: also i dont see the issue when since covid is a thing, i cant enjoy watching parties with friends and its not like they have access to the account, its todays equivalent of watching together in the same room
  9. i tried for assistance on the discord page but the format for filling out a bug report doesnt fit for my issue so im reaching out here since this is the only other place i really know of and have had good help in the past. so my issue is when ever im screen sharing content on chrome, netflix and crunchyroll specifically, the video feed itself is black but you can see the subtitles and the audio goes through just fine, the temporary solution ive found is if i reinstall my video drivers it works for one stream only. as soon as i end the stream and start up another i have to redo the whole fix all over again
  10. Picture of the new set up just so you can see, ignore the cables and stuff temporary spot for it while i get it set up
  11. So i got my new set up and pulled my ssd and hard drive from my old system and threw them in to get it up and running and no issues until booting, i cant select my drives. It just has these very vague boot options that dont work but when i look at the connected storage on the ez menu it clearly sees my drives
  12. So i tried plugging it up to a corsair cx 750m and use the normal 8pin and the 6+2pin and neither worked, and i know this psu is good because it was just powering a gtx 980
  13. i plan on doing this, to be quite honest the gpu isnt meant for that pc because it has a 1060 in it, im going to end up ordering a proper power supply for my media pc thats going to be in my room hooked up to my tv
  14. Dont shame me, i bought it when i was 16 and my previous psu sh*t itself, its an apevia beast 550w, its never done me wrong and ive uad it for 2 years
  15. I bought a used gtx 960 today and put in my pc to test if it works and using the 6+2 pin cable it goes to a black screen saying to power down and plug in the pcie power, the only other 8 pin i have is plugged into my cpu power and the pins dont have the same shapes as the gpu, is there a reason the 6+2 doesnt work? Or is the card dead
