  1. True, but I thought the RTX 2060 wasn't exactly great at 1440p?
  2. So i've been contemplating upgrading from my Asus Strix GTX 970 as it's obviously getting on now. I was initially looking at the GTX 1660ti, but figured I might at well go a bit further and get a RTX 2070 as i'm thinking about moving to 1440p gaming and the RTX 2060 apparently only just makes it for that? I found the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB GAMING OC in white for £450, which is my max budget But with the announcement of the RTX Supers, should I wait and see how much they are? or if the price of the original RTXs will drop and pull the trigger on them? Any other recommendations would be appreciated too, thanks in advance
  3. So I just got my Ticwatch E the other day and i'm trying to figure it all out and would like to ask you guys for app recommendations and help. First, I installed Facebook messenger on my watch, but can you not start a conversation with a contact? Is it only replies? Seems odd to have an app you can select but just says "yes it's installed and you receive messages". On that note does it need to be installed on the watch get get the notifications if the watch is connected to my phone? I thought all notifications got pushed to the watch to tell you they are there. What fitness app would you guys recommend for keeping track of steps, like setting goals and heart rate(tracking cycling would be great too)? I tried the Mobovi app and it seemed wildly inaccurate and i'm not a fan of google fit. Any other must have apps? My phone is an s7 edge if that has any relevance. Thanks in advance Edit: Just playing about with it now, it's the same for spotify, selecting the app on the watch just brings up recent played somes and that's it, you can't navigate. But if you play something from your phone, the select the notification on the watch, you can browse and play your songs (However pressing your songs doesn't bring up a list, just shuffles everything, even though you can get a list for albums and artist, seems very strange), this seems really round about and backwards, is it just me?
  4. Thanks for the help guys. My ticwatch E will be here tomorrow, yay!. I think the S looks bulky and I like being able to change the straps, which wouldn't be possible on the S. Poo the pro is an interesting idea, expensive for a first try though haha
  5. This is really helpful, thank you. However isn't the ticwatch s/e only ip67 so only rated for splashes not submersion? Is the S really worth it over the E? The only difference is the GPS location isn't it?
  6. I've been looking at smartwatches for a while now but I am so undecided on what to get, so i would like to ask you guys for help please I'm currently using an S7 Edge, with plans to change my phone in December and I have been looking at the ticwatch e/s. I have some criteria and questions for/about smartwatchs; -Features; -Wear Os, Samsung watches look great and have amazing features (like the rotating bezel) but the tizen OS is limited in apps -GPS -Waterproof for swimming would be preferable -Decent battery life, at least 1 full day of moderate use -NFC Questions; -Do all Wear Os watches have a physical keyboard to reply to messages? -Can you view basic web pages on a smartwatch I know Samsung are supposedly putting Wear Os on their S4 watch and I am curious to see what the rumoured pixel watch will be like, So I was maybe looking at the Ticwatch e/s to just dip my toes in the smartwatch area, but does anyone know if the ticwatch have a keyboard on screen for message replies? Any and all recommendations would be great regardless of price, even if some above features are excluded. Also I have ruled out a few already; Samsung watches, Fossil Q , Fitbit, Huawei Watch 2. Thanks in advance
  7. What about the q fan setting? Leave that disabled too? Thank you for the help so far
  8. Is there any point keeping AI suite? And should I change any of those BIOS settings if I'm uninstalling it?
  9. Hi, I have a little bit of a problem controlling my H100i V2 AIO cooler on my Asus Z270E motherboard. It seems like Corsair Link and AI Suite conflict and the AIO fans spin up the stop completely at idle. The current set up is the AIO Pump is connected to the CPU fan header and the 2 fans on the radiator are connected to the split cable also coming off of the water block with the corsair link data cable connected to a USB 2.0 internal header. I assume this is correct? I need corsair link to the the RBG on the water block of the AIO don't I? Looking at some videos I've currently got Q Fan disabled in the BIOS with CPU fan set to max, is this right? Under the H100i V2 tab in corsair link, it reads 0rpm on the fan but jumps between 390 -420 rpm on the pump The rest of my case fans are connected to a fan controller built in to the NZXT Phantom 530 case if that is relevant. Would uninstalling AI Suite solve the problem and would I still be able to monitor my CPU temps and speeds and change them using Corsair link? I'm conserned I could do damage to my CPU and cooler if incorrectly set up. Help very much appreciated
  10. In the BIOS, everything is stable, it has a temperature graph there and the fans are areas, it's when I log on to my desktop these issues happen
  11. I can't see how since it worked before and that wouldn't explain the fan issues
  12. I recently bought a new CUP, i7 7700k, motherboard, ASUS strix Z270E Gaming, and RAM, 16GB Corsair Dominator Plaitinum. And I'm using a H100i v2 AIO cooler. Now it's all installed but once I'd booted it up and go to the desktop I opened Corsair link And noticed the temperature on the CPU keeps wildly jumping about from around 35 degrees to 50 and all between and the load spikes too to around 20% with nothing running, but temperatures can't jump and cool that quick surely. It also seemed that when changing the profile of my cooler it wasn't as loud as it used to be making me think it's limited some how And the RPM of the cooler reads zero on corsair link. I read it might be something to do with q-fan control on my motherboard so I went into the BIOS and disabled the CPU q-fan but now the cooler spins up and calms and fluctuates constantly, however with this the RPM of the cooler bow shows. I applied thermal paste to the CUP and the radiator fans are connected to the 2 adapters on the pump block of the cooler which is connected to the CPU fan header (I've heard about using the CPU OPT header?). This all had me concerned and would appreciate the help, thanks in advance
  13. So it doesn't I missed it, oops sorry. But the question still stand that if it didn't would it work?
  14. So I've decided to get an i7 7700k and the Asus Strix z270E motherboard. Looking at the specification of the motherboard under memory, I notice some speeds aren't there like 2400mhz, would it be a problem if I baught ram that is that speed? PC partpicker doesn't say there is a comparability issue, but I want to be sure, I was looks at getting 2x8gb DIMMS. Also open to RAM recommendation, rig is mainly used for gaming, not photo or video editing
