  1. Lol I feel like such a noob now :3 But thankyou my friend
  2. Hi I'm coming here to you all today because I've had enough of whats going on. Today I installed a 1TB Seagate Barracuda into my system, for a media drive, and after having to muck around in the UEFI BIOS I finally managed to get the Computer to boot without blue screening. Now I already have a 320GB WD in there (its really old) and after fixing the crashing problem I boot into Windows perfectly fine, the computer detects the HDD is there and installs the drivers but when I go to My Computer its only showing my 500GB Samsung External and my partitioned 320GB. So I go to restart it hoping that will help, so before I boot into Windows I check my UEFI to make sure its being detected and its working fine. So after restarting I booted into Windows and the drive still is not showing. Now this has happened twice before, once with an old 320GB Maxtor Drive and a 1TB WD Green, granted I knew these two may not work as they're old and have been battered abit but this Seagate is brand new and I only took it out of the Anti-Static bag today. So can someone please please help me as I need this extra storage. My system specs are ASRock 970 Extreme3 AMD FX 6100 at 3.1GHz Geforce GTX 650 2GB OC I think thats all you need, if you need more please let me know TTFN Aidan
  3. Specs : ASRock 970 Extreme3 AMD FX-6100 (Stock) 8GB Patriot Viper III at 1600MHZ 320GB HDD (Upgrading to 1TB) Gigabyte 650 OC Edition Card But since putting in the RAM it just randomly fast boots. So im doing stuff it then black screens then boots again...
  4. Nope just the RAM has been added. The old RAM wasnt deffective. As this has only happened with the new RAM
  5. I dont know where I am supposed to put this but if you want to move it by all meens do. Today I upgraded my system from a Generic 4GB RAM Stick at 1333mhz to 8GB Patriot Viper III and now my computer just randomly fast boots and Im pretty certain its the memory. Its happened twice today and would like some help on to why its doing this :) Thankyou Regards Aidan
  6. I beg to differ. My brother has a 7770 I installed Autodesk on it which installed PhysX and it then could get Medium and High PhysX on Borderlands 2
  7. Well basically because I love gaming, I want to be able to game when I am rendering. It seems abit uptight but I'm able to do it. Although my main rig will be far into the future.
  8. Well I dont want to got for a 770 because thats going to be used in my main rig. Hence why I chose the 760 or 7950. Because altho I will be gaming on it, im not really going for mass gaming performance. But thanks for the heads up on the RAM thing. Ill look into it. As I have heard that the high clocks are used for mainly APU's. Thankyou.
  9. Hi guys first post on here after looking around the forums while at work. (I work at a computer shop :D) But anyways down to what I want to build. Just a disclaimer, I know Logan from Tek Syndicate did this build a while ago and its a helluva build, but I am not carbon copying it. I will post the reasonings behind the choice of components just to reiterate this point. So the build I want to do is a Editing Rig. And im going to do this before I do my main rig build so I can still use a powerfull ass computer while I save for my "monster rig" So this editing rig is going to be very similar to Logans "Honey Badger" (dont worry I've been using this name way before he did this build) So here are the specs and I would like to ask you for suggestions to truly make this a beastly editing rig, with some light gameplay thrown into the mix Case BitFenix Prodigy White I chose this case simply because I believe that it is one of THE best looking iTX cases on the market currently and I love the customizabilty that comes with it. I was seriously considering paying £60 just to have it as an ornament. Motherboard ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe Now the reason I'm going with his board is because 1. I'm an ASUS fanboy 2. The features on it are perfect for a editing rig. CPU Intel i7 3770K I know the new Haswell line of Intel CPU's are out but that specific chip is going into my "monster build" and also for a editing rig a 3770K will do just perfectly and I like the fact its easily overclockable. RAM 16GB Kingston HyperX Predator clocked @ 2133 mHz The moment I saw this RAM module I fell in love with it. It's so sexy and sleek looking and would fit perfectly for my Blue Color scheme. GPU ASUS nVdia GTX 760 or ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7950 I'm kinda at an impass here, because I know for a fact that Sony Vegas doesnt like nVidia GPU's but the 760 is cheaper than a 7950 so this is where I need your help. Also bare in mind I will be running two monitors off the card but will only be gaming on one. PSU Corsair TX650M 650W in my eyes is perfect for this type of build. It leaves lots of room for further upgrades if neccessary. And I just love the look of the Corsair PSU's. Storage 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD and a Seagate Barracuda Green 1000GB HDD The SSD is purely for boot-up, program performance and gaming. And the 1TB drive is for storage. I will be adding a NAS when I have both systems operational so I can record on my main rig and immediately have it accessible by this rig. Now I do plan to overlock my CPU so its able to fully use my RAM's speed so what GHZ should I clock it to and what Water Cooling system will be best. My brother has a Antec 920 Kuler (I think its 920 something like that) and I was looking at a H100i is there anything better than it. Thanking for reading my babbling and I look forward to hearing from you all. Once again I am totally up for suggestion as I want a extremely powerfull Editing Rig. So if I'm doing anything wrong please tell me. I will also be doing a build log of this system on this website aswell :) TTFN HoneyBadger aka. Aidan
