  1. When you use Honey on an LTT sponsor and get a better discount from someone else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  2. Yeah, this was the first time since I first started watching Linus that it was obvious he was completely clueless. So much so he really needs to backtrack publicly, considering how much influence he has in the tech community. Seriously, as much as I dislike The Borg, Microsoft didn’t even bring the case, the US government did. And Lundgren was warned prior to getting taken to court. And his emails seem to indicate a strong profit motive. And this case didn’t happen in 2018, so restore discs made a lot more sense at the time. Literally nothing he said on the WAN Show was correct!
  3. If you're not attached to the idea of earbuds, I would highly recommend checking out some headphones from Monoprice: http://bit.ly/216hGXv I am an audiophile, and I can tell you that Monoprice makes fantastic audio equipment for the price they charge. And even if you're attached to earbuds, they still make some great options, like this one: http://bit.ly/1QozYhF
  4. Yeah, and only the QM and XM models. This is what I'm looking at: http://ark.intel.com/products/43183/Intel-BD82HM55-PCH#@compatibility Notice that all of the four cores don't list Intel HD, which might make sense. I mean the multi-core technology was pretty new, so maybe they just didn't have space on the die. Or maybe they just assumed high end laptops would have offboard graphics solutions. But I just want to check, cause going to a true four core would be an awesome jump up from current performance for not much more money.
  5. I thought so, too. But Ark lists Intel HD for all but the four core processors, which were pretty few and far between in that generation.
  6. I'm trying to update an older laptop with a new CPU. It has a Mobile Intel HM55 chipset (Ark here: http://ark.intel.com/products/43183/Intel-BD82HM55-PCH#@compatibility ), which supports a handful of quad core CPUs. However, none of them show support for Intel HD Graphics. Can anyone confirm that previous generation quad cores lack support for Intel HD? Obviously I need to be able to use a monitor, and since it's a laptop, expansion options are pretty limited. Thanks in advance for any help!
