  1. Yeah. With going back to school its being used for documents, web surfing, video watching. That's really it. I'm just not sure about these mobile processors in these laptops anymore. That's all I'm confused about in this case.
  2. So you'd say the 5005u is a decent processor? I'm completely fine with chromeOS as it is just being used for internet use, that's it. Any work I do is done on my desktop.
  3. As someone who prefers a more "solid" device the V10 is my choice and I like the rear mounted buttons. Camera also has those "pro" shooting features which is quite nice. It is a big phone though which can be hard for some people.
  4. So its been quite a while from when I last did any laptop shopping and now that my 2010 macbook died its time for a new one. I've decided on a chromebook and usually with anything I look at reviews. I ended up buying an ASUS c300MA with 4GB RAM while general performance was snappy enough when I went to Picarto.TV to watch the art streams I like It would be very choppy to the point where it wouldn't work and I couldn't chat at all. Inside it uses a N2830 Celeron. It even stuttered and lagged with Google Docs. Two things that just wouldn't cut it so I ended up returning it. Upon trying to test the same work load with my mother's HP laptop with a N3540 and it worked without a hitch. I'm now looking at a Dell chromebook 13 with the core i3 5005u and I'm not too sure on the performance of it compared to the Celeron and Pentium in the other computers I've tested. I know they're based on different architectures from baytrail m and broadwell. Does anyone else think that the new i3 would be able to support all the multistreaming at the lower clockspeed of the two?
  5. no problem, you'll just have to go into now and adjust the settings for your television under display settings on XMB.
  6. That makes sense, especially with the whole house runs they're doing now. but even those aren't pushing 100$.
  7. If it were an analogue system, better cables make a difference. HDMI is the same no matter the cable. Now I have heard that if you use a higher quality cable even for HDMI it can make the signal travel a bit farther but I'm not too sure on that one.
  8. Try this on for size first, turn off the ps3 then hold the i/o button for a few seconds and it will beep. It will reset the display settings. If that doesn't help may want to see if you can clean the contacts of the hdmi port or get it repaired.
  9. I was looking at the Castor as one of my choices. Seems to be better for my palm grip. They're available at amazon so If I decide on that one Its fairly easy for me to try and return if I don't like it.
  10. Glad to see it wasn't just me. It felt really good build wise and no complaints with that but it was uncomfortable you're right. Did you like the m65?
  11. I don't know what it was but the g502 just felt really heavy compared to my old sensei. I guess I just prefer a lighter one. Its a hard decision to make.
  12. Neither, a best buy. I suppose I could always do the "buy and try" method.
