My Mac is freezing and lagging!
AvXpert787 replied to AvXpert787's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I bought it used on Craigslist. Previous owner said that it was used like about a year. It has been around 3 years used now. My spec is in the picture. -
I have reinstalled my mac and have been using for only a day now but my mac is constantly freezing and lagging even though I have only chrome and spotify opened. I check my CPU performance with the 3d party software, Monit and it shows that my cpu usage is low and that nothing it consuming up the CPU. What seems to be the problem? I have a Macbook pro retina Late 2013 with High Sierra installed.

I use both the Option-Command-R or Shift-Option-Command-R keys when starting up and that's when I see the globe and the error code screen.

I'm currently running Windows 10 on my Mac using bootcamp. I deleted the Mac portion because I wanted to have a clean install of my mac. When I went into recovery mode to reinstall my mac after deleting the partition, it shows me an error code of 1003F. There was a time when water went inside my mac and possibly have broken my physical wifi antenna because my wifi connection from my mac stopped working unless I connect it to an ethernet cable. Currently I have a usb wifi adapter for my windows but does not work when I try using it on mac. When I try connecting my ethernet cable to my mac to redownload my mac, it still shows the 1003F error. What type of wireless usb adapter will work for my mac? I don't want to bring my mac for repair because that's going to cost some value of money.I'm currently running Windows 10 on my Mac using bootcamp. Alright I'll get back to you after disabling some extensions and using my computer for a while.

According to Task Manager, my CPU is running at the clock speed of 0.90 ghZ and only 50% of my ram is being used with around 8 Google Chrome tasks running. Will disabling some extensions in Chrome help?

My laptop started acting weird these days. The screen is freezing then starting to work again, freezing and starting to work again. It happens between a 3-5 min span even with just like one software (Chrome) opened and the freeze lasts about like a minimum of 2 minutes. I'd say it has to do with my graphics card but I doubt its a physical damage. I'm thinking about resetting my laptop or buying a new graphics card for my laptop. I've tried restarting my computer several times but that didn't work out either. I heard that there is an software to check if your GPU is working fine but I'm not sure how to use it or what it is called.

I have Windows 10 on my Mac book pro using boot camp and whenever I call someone (skype, messenger, hangouts, etc.) after around like 30-60 minutes, my I-sight camera stops working (my camera is frozen and whenever I turn my camera back on, it would be a black screen). If I try closing all my video calling software apps, I notice that my green light is still on even though I'm not calling anyone. This problem stops working whenever I restart my computer but it gets annoying because after some period of time, my camera stops working.

I have an Intel Core i7 4770 CPU and my friend has a 4790 or a 4970. We both did a benchmark test and I got a significantly lower performance than him. Using CPU-z, I got a 332 on the single thread performance and a 4920 for multi-thread performance. What does it mean by having a low performance on the single thread?

I also realized I also bent one of the capacitor next to one of the PCI-E slot when I took out my gpu.
